Now, we've been in Alaska 20 years, but grew up back in Pennsylvania. I had a 500 yard range there, only owned 86 acres and neighbors weren't on top of each other. Never had a complaint about gunfire or shooting; in fact, all the locals came down to use my range usually all day Saturday; but had great neighbors too. A funny side note, we also had 6 foot high plywood targets, Rose Law Firm Hillary, the Slickster, Mad woman Janet Reno, everybody really enjoyed those targets. I need to make a few new ones here in ALaska.
I actually luv Alaska, luv snowmaching, and all the outdoor sports we do and lifestyle; does wonders for your worldview rather than living in an urban area. It is awful nice not having any organized local government, taxes, and everything else that comes with the growth of govt. Good luck with life in Florida.
More power to ya my friend. I love Alaska. Spent some time there myself and believe me when I say, I wish it could be like Alaska around here. I live in a fairly rural area of Wisconsin and enjoy a few of those things you probably take for granted. I would NEVER live in a big city and anywhere even close to one. Out town has 888 people.
They will come up to live near you, sooner or later.
Their form of democratic uncivil anarchy seems to be trumping our Republic's basis in civil laws.
Buy extra ammo.Even in isolated parts of Alaska.
