“He [Santorum] added that mainline Protestantism in this country is in shambles. It is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it.
If he thinks mainline Protestantism is gone from the world of Christianity he may have some major issues with evangelical voters.

By Mainline, he is referring to the Anglicans, Methodists and Presbyterians of the USA. And he would be RIGHT.
Which denominations are SPLITTING now as a result of the ordaining of OPENLY GAY Clergy and Bishops?
Which denominations are withdrawing support from Israel and
demonizing our ally? OPENLY Backing divestment and sanctions against Israel?
It ain’t the Evangelicals who are doing it.
To: allmendream
only if evangelicals see themselves as mainline abortion-accepting, global warmist, gay marriage loving methodists, presbyterians, lutherans, episcopalians etc (all of which are withering denominations - wonder why? Hmmm maybe Rick is right...again)

What were MoDo’s “thoughts” when BUSH was compared to Hitler? Did she not think THAT “odd”???

Millions of murdered unborn babies is not the product of “sensuality”. It is the product of a violent immorality, and at least a depraved disregard for the value of human life.

You are watching the co-ordinated and purposeful marginalization of all things Christian in American public life.

My thanks. I was apparently unfamiliar with the term - I thought it included the majority of Protestants in America - rather than only some 15% of adult Americans in the “social justice” type of Churches. Mia culpa.

If he thinks mainline Protestantism is gone from the world of Christianity he may have some major issues with evangelical voters. Not really. Evangelicals know that mainline protestantism is dying.
