Have you ever fornicated with someone with bad breath? Me neither but it would not be pleasant, so they need toothpaste. ;p

I’m the guy who was simply following the thread and wondering how they funded schools in France.

Now I’m the guy who is wondering why such a show of defensive cowardice from you over such a simple question?

Are condoms like motorcycle helmets?...under the health laws...you should get them free...and required to wear them when you ride...for safety sake

There is no FREE commodity. We should always refer to this as “taxpayer funded.....” condoms, food, housing, whatever. In addition, people receiving all of this so-called FREE stuff should have to write a thank you note for each item they get so that they realize that nothing is free and somebody is paying for it. It can’t be said enough that there is no FREE and people who believe they can have things for FREE will pay by losing their own FREEDOM eventually.

most people would see a higher probability of a life in poverty as a bad thing.

I agree with people who are against abortions, but why the heck to be against contraceptives which prevent non-wanted pregnancies, abortions and most of the sexual-related illnesses? It makes no sense.

Most contraceptives do absolutely nothing to prevent "sexual-related illnesses". And it says so right on the package insert, didn't you read it?

If contraceptives prevent "non-wanted" pregnancies and abortions, why is it that since the introduction of the birth control pill and the absolute glut of contraceptives, the number of abortions AND unplanned pregnancies have skyrocketed?

Regardless, the main point is not whether anyone is for or against contraceptives, but who should pay for them. Why is that so hard to understand?

How about a bottle of cheap wine and a romantic candlelight dinner? After all, what good are the contraceptives if the girl’s not “in the mood”?

“the main point is not whether anyone is for or against contraceptives, but who should pay for them”

Any person who wants to use them, should pay from his/her own pocket. Period.

not against contraceptives. against the govt pushing it

tell people why they should have them, sure. govt supplied?? hardly. that’s endorsing the feel love idea, literally (well, free love produced offspring at least). and once you’ve gone to the point of touting free love, thereby marginalizing the significance, it’s a short hop to increased infidelity
