Romney’s Path to a Michigan Comeback (but GOP-E “poring over filing deadlines,” just in case..)

The other quotes from Gov. Snyder are quite amusing [paraphrasing] "Stop talking about UNIONS Mitt! Mitt can turn Mich Red in the general election!"

I guess it is just inconceivable that the GOP would get behind any candidate already running when Mitt crashes (I bet they're tired of burning through money).

Just act like a Democrat and ignore filing deadlines. Didn’t they do that in NJ a few years back?

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

We in Michigan are being bombarded with anti-Santorum tv and radio commercials. I have seen nothing by Romney about what he stands for.

How could anyone vote for this guy?

“I think it’s still fairly early in the process,” Snyder says in an interview, predicting a change in Romney’s fortunes in the Great Lakes state. “I think you’re going to see a lot of progress,” he remarks.

Translated: "We still have time to monkeywrench the Michigan primary and we are actively finding any way, legit or illicit, to assure that it goes to Romney".

I believe it is too late. Can you imagine the outcry if they pulled something like that?

Romney likes Michigan’s trees.

Although I'm assuming the RINOs are looking to see if Jeb Bush or Chris Christie can jump in.

Rick Snyder was our turd in the punchbowl of the 2010 election. He’s done a few good things but he’s still an Ann Arbor “republican”.

Me and my perfectly tall Michigan trees are voting for Santorum.

Romney spent $2Million/day for 10 days leading up to the FL primary to take the win and 50 delegates. He has shown he will do anything to drive his opponents into the dirt. He withdrew from the debate as he knew he couldn't stand next to his opponents and be asked, "Where is your honor sir?"

Now he's running ads in GA that are hurtful and LIES and that Newt has asked be pulled as they are false (rated "pant's on fire" false) but Mitt has poured $1Million into GA to run ads up to the March 6, Super Tues Primary.

“If Romney cannot win Michigan, we need a new candidate,” a top GOP senator told ABC News.

And who is this "top" GOP-E Senator?

Senator Blutarsky?

I think the GOP-E is trying to light a fire under Mitt.

Gracious! Imagine getting a nominee other than Mitt!

One that would run a conservative campaign!

Oh, the horror!!

It’s very unlikely Mitt Romney will leave the race if he loses Michigan.

Just as Mitt has three different opinions on every issue, he also has three different home states — Michigan, Massachusetts, and the Mormon republic of Utah. He’s doing very well in the Massachusetts polls. There’s no reason for him to step down in the foreseeable future.

As for Rick Santorum, if he can withstand a $20-million onslaught of assault ads by Romney in Michigan and still emerge victorious, his closet will have been proven skeleton-less, and he will be able to take on Obama from a position of strength.

Good question. What bothers me is why did Santorum endorse him in 2008? Romney hasn’t changed, only Rick’s political aspirations have changed.

We really do need a spine and some muscle - I’m thinking Newt.

The e-Gopers should rather go pour some beers, and stop trying to decide the election for We The People.

They’ve screwed things up badly.

Time for them to get out of the way.

It is absolutely disgusting what he and his operatives & allies are doing. I’d never vote for him in ANY primary.
