That's sanctimonious Rick's deal, not mine. I come from honesty. If the truth hurts, so be it. Some embrace truth, some embrace a con man who has something to gain on their backs. They are useful idiots.
FreeRepublic.com is Pro-Newt and Anti-Romney.
Romeny was naive to think it didn't matter that the 24/7 bashing of romney on freerepublic wouldn't negatively impact his attempt to pose as a conservative. We no like Liberal Romney.
Free Republic is
Romney's team miscalculaed how hated Romney is by Conservatives. Ha Free Republic is Newt Country Romneybots... Deal with it
Just two short months ago. But something back in 2008 is more relevant don’t cha know! Sounded like a love fest! Newt hearts Mitt!!!
Newt doesn’t trash anyone. Mitt does and so does Rick - but that’s given a pass. I’ll leave you guys to figure it out - it appears it will take years though. Still trying to prove you see clearly but when the brick wall comes and it will, I still doubt you’ll get it.
ALL the candidates have flaws and positions I find distressing. With that said, after studying all their positions, I easily concluded that only one candidate of the four has the will, the platform and the experience to turn our Republic towards Liberty. That person is Newt. Mitt and Paul are non-starters.
Rick is a laughable lightweight -- two unspectacular terms in the senate; a platform that until recently (2mo) was very light on specifics; and very little charisma. He was just one of 100 Senators -- whop-de-do. He's trained as a lawyer -- big negative in my book.
After two minutes of hearing him speak, you get a funny feeling that Rick is trying to impress everyone with his "purity" and his Conservative credentials. He doesn't have the focus on taking on D.C, Rick is more of "look what a great Conservative I am."
Dang, with friends like you, people will be flying off of the Newt train. You are a charmer! Nothing like calling people idiots to convert them to your cause. You really should spit out those sour grapes. Your puckering is showing...lol
They are upset because they were calling us all stupid for supporting Santorum and he had no chance of winning anything, etc. and now he’s the frontrunner and just swept 3 contests and handed Romney his lunch and is about to take him out on his home turf. Santorum winning in Michigan would be devastating to Romney’s campaign - yet we are to believe Romney actually wants Santorum to win it and that would be more helpful to him than winning it himself? They believe that and yet we are the ones that are ‘naive’.
It reads of talking points to me. A couple of weeks ago the common code word being repeated numerous people was “no charisma” in attacking Santorum. That just doesn’t make sense that so many would spontaneously start saying the exact same thing independently at the same time.
Yep, it seems to be a pattern. The only thing about thinking everyone is out to get you is....they just might!! I’m going to have to turn in before long. I’m sure this will go on for hours..;)
That’s because WE ARE conservatives. We are the Patriots.
And right now Patriot NEWT is fighting for our country against attacks from ALL sides. Evil wants it so bad and is using deception of all kinds to keep it.
Go NEWT!
You called it. Rick is kicking butt. What I don’t get is where the venom comes from. For me, I prefer Rick. Newt’s Global warming, TARP, Healthcare & desperate need for relavancy & approval keep him at #2. I just don’t think he can win. He’s pissed off more people than the guy with no screen name. Finally, I will hold my nose and vote for Mitt if he’s the nominee, but he brings a big zero in excitement. Just like McLame. The only thing that sparked interest last time for me was Sarah.
Actually, I just attended a rally last week...he spoke for a little over an hour without need for notes or prepared remarks....strong, articulate, and BOLD!
There were well over 2,000 others in the room who would certainly have agreed with that sentiment and about 4,000 more later that day.
He will certainly mop the floor with O-Jackass and his merry band of teleprompters.
Bingo. I think you got it. I tell ya, what a mess this is. When Newt was in the lead, there was such unity among conservatives, especially here at FR. With Rick pulling ahead, it's just screwing everything up. There's no way he can win the primary or the general when he generates so little enthusiasm and actually causes such divisiveness among conservatives. IMO the msm is treading lightly on Rick because they know as the nominee he would get destroyed by Obama, plus they don't want to have to deal with Newt again. Why do conservatives keep allowing the liberal msm choose our candidate for us? WHY?????????
If you cannot get RIGHT TO LIFE or THE MEANS TO DEFEND IT correct, how can you claim to be a conservative?
You are disgusting. You are a complete and utter piece of trash. I cant wait for the day you are banned. How you could be so gross and nasty is beyond me. I pray they you do not have children. If you do, I feel for them. I have never seen a more revolting person than you.
I agree that it is hard for Romney to go after Santorum on the issues; how could he, all their positions are the same.
And he can’t go after Santorum for being a statist; after all, as far as Romney is concerned, what’s wrong with that?
And as far as I know, Santorum is a decent guy; he’s just indistinguishable from Romney on virtually everything I care most about.
Also, if Santorum is the nominee, we lose in a landslide in November as Tea Party types stay home; no Senate, and no more House either. Obama gets free reign for another four years, and three nominees to the Supreme Court.
I’m thinking about Australia as a viable alternative. We are staring into the mouth of disaster here, folks. And most of us are too intoxicated to see it.
That’s your excuse?
Romney wasn’t an unknown quantity then. Endorsing him against McCain doesn’t make Mitt a conservative by default.
There's this speech about "bold colors."
Ever heard of that?
I am impatient with those Republicans who after the last election rushed into print saying, We must broaden the base of our partywhen what they meant was to fuzz up and blur even more the differences between ourselves and our opponents.
...is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?
if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.
Ronald Reagan at CPAC 1975
That doesn’t make any sense since Santorum is ahead in Michigan.
I remember that! What a great speech given by the best president in my lifetime.
However, I am glad that he lost out in the brokered convention. I don’t think any Republican could be elected that year.
Watergate, Nixon pardon and all...
Had he been the nominee, we might have missed out on one GREAT president!
