When he was elected, 7 years ago, on of the first things he did was eliminate the requirement for PUBLIC UNION MEMBERS to have to belong to a union or automatically have their money withheld for payment to the union.

Seven years later, 90% have STOPPED PAYING UNION DUES.

This one will be in the history books, as a turning point away from collectivism. It’s the first of many dominos to fall, IMHO.

Unionism cannot work for the benefit of the employee, because the act of joining a union requires you to give up your right to have your labor, your effort, and your contribution judged as yours and yours alone. The act of joining represents a loss of individual property rights. And that may be ok, but should not be mandatory.

Indiana will benefit from neighbor Ohio's union thuggery as well. The defeat of Issue 2 last fall in Ohio may have been the last straw for many Ohio companies who could be courted successfully by Indiana if they want to look eastward. Gov Kasich is doing a good job of attracting investment and jobs into Ohio but the thugs left the back door wide open.

Count me as shocked. It never occured to me that the Indiana state legislature would pass this. There are a lot of blue collar Hoosiers who are socially conservative and pro-national security, but also pro-labor union. Will it backfire? I hope not.

It’s also up to Indiana employers to prove that the worst labor stereotypes about them are not true.

Indiana has nothing but gain from the passage of RTW. Illionois, look out, we are a little east, but we have a better business atmosphere and far lower taxes.

If we get a big chunk of the Illinois business, look to see Indiana move to Central time.

I think that “Right To Work” is going to be the new Abolition.
