In the third hour, rush told us that Santorum voters will move to Romney if he drops out, not to Newt.
I say that “Bloody Thursday” Rush is lying, what do you think?

I have been listening to Rush since the day he first hit the airwaves on the West Coast. He has never given an endorsement no matter how much callers goad him to do so. He expects more out of his listeners than to be the mind-numb robots liberals think Rush listeners are. He expects them to come to their own conclusion and to make up their own minds. The way it should be.
To: Sudetenland
If you need Rush to endorse someone so you know how to vote, then you probably shouldn't be voting. In all my years of voting, no one's endorsement has ever swayed my voting.

He ended both days of his show by saying that all the candidates had at one time or another supported federal mandates... EXCEPT SANTORUM. Very pointedly for two days. This is how Rush drops his private opinion into his oeuvre.

Ah, but we have another thread where a FReeper is telling us Rush is endorsing Santorum.
Nope, my thread got pulled. Rush did hint that he was voting for Santorum. It’s kind of like an endorsement. But it was legally only my opinion.

I am the stupid and blatant one of which you speak. Don’t worry, my thread got pulled.
(Shhh, don’t tell anyone, promise? Rush has quoted my utter stupidity on FR at least 3 times so far... And read one of my emails to him on the air...)

Exactly, Rush has been playing dumb big time over the past month. It’s like he has no confidence in coming up with any new opinions. Today he spouted his re-hashed idea that Newt labeled the Ryan plan right wing social engineering because Newt was jealous. C’mon Rush; not everyone has an ego as big as yours.
To: Kaslin
Rush, with his policy of not endorsing primary candidates, is doing us no good this round. Ditto Sarah Palin. We need more than 50% support from these two. Right now we are losing to a northeast GOP-E and need all the help we can get.
When we look back at this election cycle many here will remember who supported the cause and who gave only halfhearted support or worked against us.
To: Parley Baer
Guess we what we want to hear. Do not think for a moment; for as much as Rush may admire Santorum; that he is supporting a Conservative who cannot get above 12%; and has not 'real' record of Leadership; as of late; to refer to.
Might vote says; Rush will vote for Newt.

The Palin couple has made it very clear who they support, and have continued to string out this national pro-Newt endorsement campaign for weeks.
Palin is maximizing her pro Newt effect.

Rush took the same position in 08, and we got McCain. Even though I think his fav was Fred Thompson.
To: Sudetenland
Not as forcefully as he could have; he seems intent on fence-sitting. Today he told a caller that he doesn’t believe Romney is pro-abortion, and any claims to that effect are news to him. My jaw dropped. The caller said Romney would never hold his own against Obama in a debate because he gets flustered and sweaty; Rush replied he has never seen that happen.
Sorry, Rush is dropping the ball big-time.
To: RetiredArmy
I still listen but with a lot more skepticism. Sometimes I'm really surprised at what he does not know. Recently he admitted that he didn't know that there was a debate that night (or the next). Huh?! How can you be a serious political analyst/commentator and not carefully follow the primary on the conservative side (your side!) in a presidential election year?

Rush is for Romney, he even told us today that the Perry voters did not go for Newt, and that the Santorum voters will go to Romney instead of Newt.
Rush did that in the third hour on voting day, Rush is anti-Newt.

No way. . .he plays antagonist; but Rush is NOT for Romney; guaranteed! Mitt is the ‘Liberal’ candidate; he is LEFT of center! NO way; does Rush go near, ‘LEFT’ of center. He has banged his drum all week that Romneycare just a few ‘zero’s away from Obamacare’ which he despises.

This time I think there is no doubt that he is not supporting Newt, and I think that it is clear that he prefers Mitt over Newt.
The thing that is undeniable, is that Rush could be as clear with Mitt and Gingrich, as he was with McCain and Romney last time.
RUSH: I think now, based on the way the campaign has shaken out, that there probably is a candidate on our side who does embody all three legs of the conservative stool, and thats Romney.
