I get AARP solicitations four or fives times a year. Guess they know I'm reaching Semi-geezerhood. For every letter I receive, I cut up the narrative and plastic $16 membership card and return it to AARP in their own self addressed free envelope.
It's a small protest, I know. Wife asks what's the point; why not just toss it ? I answer, if others would do the same, maybe they'd quit sending.
Maybe...

I cut up the narrative and plastic $16 membership card and return it to AARP in their own self addressed free envelope. They have a new envelope system. It has an open slot on the front of the envelope like many bill envelopes. You flip the card around that has your name and address to the side that has their address and stick it in the envelope. Going to scan their address, print it out and stick it in the envelope and send it off.
