Dude, you missed the point. Reread the whole thing in context. It was a joke. Did you miss all the ‘smileys’ ?

“Fire all the rounds you have, reload, and do it again,” says the rancher.

YipeeYiYoKayeeah!!!!

(real men...sigh...what a blessing.)

Ranchers should ride around a few times a day throwing single sticks of dynamite near the border...good visual plumes and sounds...lol

Tannerite would be cheaper and easier to obtain as well. It still makes a nice big boom.

I just got a catalog from Sportsman’s guide. One item that I’d not seen before was a device for making rounds loaded with FMJ bullets into rounds loaded with hollow points. Seems to me you could use that, fill the cavity with the substance of your choice, and then seal the tip with a polymer of some sort. Probably could use silicone caulk in a pinch.

Land mines don’t distinguish between ‘mules’ and cows, unfortunately...

These are not your cowboy grandfathers’ shooting irons.

Thanks for taking the time to research that. Quite frankly, I was thinking that the other fellow was merely a keyboard-commando bragging about that topic.

Anyway, the muzzie victim would have no way of knowing he took a round with pig blood/grease, and thus there would be no purpose.

AK's require you to be up close and personal with these thugs. You need to keep back and engage them from a distance.

AI's new AX in .338 is just the ticket!

I just loaded up over 1000 rounds of “Soul Takers”. I use the pig fat to lube the cases and bullets. It really works well.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I wouldn't be using an AK. Granted you can put down some fire power but do you really want to be within a hundred or two yards of these guys in order to be accurate? Spray and Pray?

I nice 30-06 with a good scope or a .338 Lapua Magnum would be great a 500 yards...and they would never see you.

Raising cattle in a mine field sounds like a great idea.

Deer and other game would also love it.

You have no idea about reloading. You’ve clearly never done it before.

I hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but in that part of the country they could be 50 yards from you and you wont see them unless you spend all your time in a tower.

Lots of brush.

I live in Texas...familiar with the area. In college I worked for the Texas Ag experiment Station and we had cotton fields west of Weslaco. Depending on the place along the river, there is high ground. In places where there isn't high ground...I would consider clearing it or building a tower. I guess an AK might be a good brush gun if you have no other choice. But my point is this more general I guess than confined to THIS particular location: If given OTHER options...I would take them. Not every rancher along that border has flat brushy land to defend...and in places where possible...I'm sniping.

Make sense?

The work to be done on a ranch is done on the ground, not in a tower.

They aren't hunting illegals, they are simply protecting themselves while they go about their business of running a ranch.

Nonetheless, you have shown your ignorance about reloading. I will not let that rest. From now on, your lack of reloading skills will be my primary conversational point.

Please note my tagline.
