NWS shows Nashville now under Tornado Warning. I hope the Cumberland Plateau slows this monster down before it gets to East Tennessee where I am. Most storms break up between Nashville and Knoxville. Some don't. January in Tennessee with tornado warnings is weird but we've had several good sized thunderstorms this past week.

LOL..like the disco ball analogy. I used to love the storms and the resulting light show. Would have been awesome to have it illuminating the house from many windows. Problem is as I get older I’m such a light sleeper that I’ve come to detest storms because A. Potential tornadoes and having no basement and B. They seem to happen anymore at just the time I go to sleep, which is 3-5 am due to work hours and there’s no escape!

Actually tried sleeping in the tiny 1st floor bathtub out of frustration one night:)

Raining like crazy here in SE Tennessee. Folks in Alabama, watch out - a couple of tornado warnings down that way!

I’m between Knoxville and Kentucky. Just some heavy rain up here. Looks like the Plateau broke some of it up. I watched the radar off and on all night. By the time it got to Crossville the Tornado’s had died out.
