“Perhaps those of us who do support Ron Paul should take that as a backhanded compliment?”
Absolutely not. Paultards and Mittiots are not welcome on FR. This is a CONSERVATIVE site, not a RINO site or a liberaltarian site.
“mnehring unearths some of the best RuPaul research!”
Some of ? Hate to disagree, but-—
It’s the best, FRiend!
Mnehring deserves a Pulitzer!
“Absolutely not. Paultards and Mittiots are not welcome on FR. This is a CONSERVATIVE site, not a RINO site or a liberaltarian site.”
Given that I happen to be a conservative, FR would appear to be the right place for me to be. I also happen to support Ron Paul’s candidacy. And I do that as a conservative; I’m not a libertarian and don’t plan on becoming one.
I’m also happy to report that I’m still here, although a bit surprised to be given the recent bug zapper thread. I guess Jim isn’t quite as keen on zotting every last Ron Paul supporter on FR. Which I think is very much to his credit.
So where were we? Discussing the relative merits of the candidates I think. So do you wish to discuss political ideas or candidates in a calm and rational manner, or do you simply want to throw around invectives?
Just let me know.
“I also happen to support Ron Pauls candidacy. And I do that as a conservative....”
Tell me, when was the last time Conservatives thought repealing DADT was a good idea ? When was the last time Conservatives thought abortion or homosexual marriage were states rights issues ? Since when do Conservatives consult with Progressiveviks like Bawney Fwank on how to dismantle our military ? Most importantly, since when do Conservatives
call thir own country “imperialist” ?
If you support Jew hater Ron Paul, you’re not a Consrvative.
End of story.
The discussion of political candidates has, on the whole, lacked reason and decency. I have never seen anything like it on FR.
Again, when you wish to discuss political ideas and candidates in a calm and polite manner, please let me know. I’ll be happy to do so.

Oh look....RuPaul finished dead last in South Carolina....
Wanna talk about that ?
“Wanna talk about that?”
Sure. And it’s Ron Paul, not RuPaul. Is it really that difficult to post a straighforward question without throwing in the invective?
Ron Paul is not going to do as well in the deep south. I said a few weeks ago that I thought he would hit a wall in the south. His foreign policy views do not play well there.
I expect Ron Paul will stay in the race to the convention. His winning the nomination isn’t really his primary objective, although I’m sure he’d be happy to do so.
“The discussion of political candidates has, on the whole, lacked reason and decency. I have never seen anything like it on FR.”
Oh, I see it every time I post on FR. There have always been those who rely on insults and invective...and who run howling to the moderators the moment someone gives them a taste of their own medicine. Those sorts of posters seem to be taking over the debate.
I often wonder how to reverse that trend, and I’m beginning to think that something like a code of conduct is in order. I doubt FR will impose one, but that doesn’t stop individual posters from observing one. I’m also finding myself engaging the more obnoxious posters on a more frequent basis. Easy to do given my candidate preference.
“Is it really that difficult to post a straighforward question without throwing in the invective?”
It sure is when discussing Herr Doktor.
“His foreign policy views do not play well there.”
The only place that nonsense would fly is San Francisco.
“I expect Ron Paul will stay in the race to the convention.”
For what ? Obviously, no one gives a hoot what the old dementia patient says. If anyone did, he would have won something by now.
I sincerely hope today’s thrashing knocks Paul out of the race. His ego-driven campaign has wasted enough of everyone’s time.
We the Conservatives have had enough. It’s no longer amusing.
I expect, and sometimes throw, “sharp elbows” when posting. So, I really don’t mind the “contact sport” aspect of FR, but what I have seen is eruption after eruption of mindless invective, credulous repetition of questionable or absurd claims, and a complete abandonment of reason when candidates are being discussed.
Who knows what to make of it? Has Obamalini upset people to the point that they are in a nearly constant state of rage? I don’t have the answer, but I haven’t seen anything like it on FR before.
Something valuable has been lost.
“For what?”
I wasn’t given a secret decoder ring, but I think I have a pretty fair idea. Keep watching.
“We the Conservatives have had enough. Its no longer amusing.”
We? No. You’re speaking for yourself.
Thanks for the interesting banter and have a good night. I’m sure I’ll see you on another thread.
No, I’m speaking for Conservatives. If you support whack job Ron Paul, you’re not a Conservative.
It’s over for RuPaul, and I can only hope he has the class to bow out gracefully.
“Who knows what to make of it? Has Obamalini upset people to the point that they are in a nearly constant state of rage? I dont have the answer, but I havent seen anything like it on FR before.”
It’s always been there. I just think that at a certain point the folks who aren’t in a constant state of rage simply move on. That trend is continuing and intensifying and you’re seeing who is left.
“That trend is continuing and intensifying and youre seeing who is left.”
What’s left are Patriots who aren’t putting up with crap from Paultards and Mittiots. Plain and simple. Why should we have to constantly put up with the constant harassment from RINOs and Brownshirts ? Why are we not allowed to hit back ?
You think DADT was good? It ushered sodomites into the military!
Comrades:I have kept quiet about the Ron Paul campaign for a while, because I didnt see any need to say anything that would cause any trouble. However, reading the latest release from his campaign spokesman, I am compelled to tell the truth about Ron Pauls extensive involvement in white nationalism.
Both Congressman Paul and his aides regularly meet with members of the Stormfront set, American Renaissance, the Institute for Historic Review, and others at the Tara Thai restaurant in Arlington, Virginia, usually on Wednesdays. This is part of a dinner that was originally organized by Pat Buchanan, Sam Francis and Joe Sobran, and has since been mostly taken over by the Council of Conservative Citizens.
I have attended these dinners, seen Paul and his aides there, and been invited to his offices in Washington to discuss policy.
For his spokesman to call white racialism a small ideology and claim white activists are wasting their money trying to influence Paul is ridiculous. Paul is a white nationalist of the Stormfront type who has always kept his racial views and his views about world Judaism quiet because of his political position.
I dont know that it is necessarily good for Paul to expose this. However, he really is someone with extensive ties to white nationalism and for him to deny that in the belief he will be more respectable by denying it is outrageous and I hate seeing people in the press who denounce racialism merely because they think it is not fashionable.

“Why should we have to constantly put up with the constant harassment from RINOs and Brownshirts?”
Really? Is someone calling you and harassing you? Has someone threatened you with bodily harm? If so, I can’t help you: you need to contact the police ASAP.
As for hitting back, if someone is truly threatening you with bodily harm, then I would be the first person to defend your right to self-defense in that sort of situation.
