“But with Ron Paul screwing things up, Newt badly needs Perry/Santorum voters.”
And none of them want to be the one that takes the hit for the team.
In the long run, this will be a two horse race between Ron Paul and mitt. Both of them will go until the convention. Newt will probably stay in the longest, but his funding will be what runs out. He may want to continue the fight, but people generally won’t fund what they perceive to be a loser.
“Only thing to do is pray that God helps bring forth candidates with a servant’s heart, intelligence, and reliance on Divine providence to restore our Nation, and people worthy of the bounty provided by God.”
Amen.
I think that God is not going to give us the candidate that we want, but the candidate(s) that we need. Hopefully we’ll have the wisdom to know who they are and to give them the support they need.
“It’s very sad. So are all the Threads here. Mostly superficial talking points. And lots of inability to see the forest for the trees.”
The reason why I still post here is that there is some wheat to be found amongst the chaff. Over time, the wheat is getting harder and harder to find. I often wonder if the next Ronald Reagan would find himself cast aside today.
If you’re looking for folks who are enthused and happy about what they’re doing, take a look at what the Paul faction is up to. I’m not trying to “convert” you, but it is kind of nice to see and be around people who actually believe in what they’re doing and are acting in accordance with a sound strategy. You just don’t see that in most political circles these days.
