I have considered buying/ordering a cc weapon that way (on-line) but living in a very remote area have only one such FFL dealer to go to. (He is outrageous with his prices due to being the only game for over 100 miles). I don't want to get “robber” BEFORE I get the gun.
“I don’t want to get robber BEFORE I get the gun.”.
Sorry, that should read “robbed”, not robber.
That’s the one.
I see...
Gun Broker has a search by zip code or by state on their web site.
Have you tried their search?
I put in only my zip code and it gave me FFL dealers as far away as 270.41 miles that were within my state. Note: If you live close to the state line, perhaps a dealer in an adjoining state would work, SUBJECT TO STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS.
In addition to the name, address, phone number, distance and other information it also gives what that FFL dealer charges in most cases for transfers and OTHER FEES (sales tax, back ground checks, etc, etc) for guns they receive.
It would be a good idea to contact the FFL dealer to make sure the information is up to date.
It does not include shipping charges by the seller of the firearm.

If you recall, that one even made an appearance in “Domestic Enemies”.
No buying guns on Sunday in NJ, because the State Police office that handles the NICS check is closed on Sundays. Apparently an FFL dealer calling it in to have the Feds run the check isn’t good enough, so the state has the NJSP do it. Talk about redundant b.s. .
In Texas, they're only going to ask for ID if you look like you might be under 21.
Expect to pay around $20 to $35.
Reminds me of all the times, in the 60's, traveling to, or from, or through, Denver on United and could buy a gun right there at the concourse entrance at a fine gun store and bring it on the plane...
