If Obummer is willing (make that “enthusiastic”) to subvert the Constitution with the Cordray appointment, what will he do NEXT to piss us off?

If he gets away with these appointments, which seems likely since the GOP has no spine and no fight, then what will he try next?

Internet censorship? Further amnesty for illegals? Maybe use unspent stimulus money to make huge gifts to the poor, such as mortgage excusals? Whatever he does, we’re going to hate it.

He keeps pushing us, hoping for a nasty reaction that he can use (IMHO) as an excuse to send troops into the streets. We’re driving him nuts with our patience but how much longer can we suffer through this crap?

He suggests Obama will win and then bemoans “gridlock” which is key indicators of a RINO-virus.

Your conclusions are the opposite of mine. Maybe it's because I initially forgot to include the title.

My intent was to make it look like this:

Patrick J. Buchanan: Four more years -- of this?

But I goofed.

He began with Obama's appointment of Cordray, despite the Senate being in a pro forma recess. He ended with the specter of the U.S. following the examples of Italy and Spain going hat in hand to foreign creditors for even more credit at God knows what interest rate.

I goofed again, what a humbling thread. The Senate was in a pro forma session to prevent Obama from making any recess appointments.

The pro forma session is arguably a sham, but it was invented by the Senate Democrats to prevent George W. Bush from making recess appointments, by Harry Reid and his underlings including Barack Obama. The media won't call attention to Obama's hypocrisy in overriding the recess now.

Of course all these recess appointments are contrary to the spirit of the Constitution--in the earlier periods of our history Congress was on recess the bulk of the year. This was intended to fill vacancies that occurred after Congress had left town, not to insert someone who couldn't win confirmation normally.
