Well, you seem to have a problem.
One problem is that you think I am a sir.
I am a lady, most of the time.
If you are referring to the term, newbie, perhaps in your case it should be newtbie, it is a common insult around these parts.
If someone comes on Free Republic and suddenly starts trying to make waves and we see a sign up date of last week, we suspect an agenda.
You have an agenda and, to your credit, you have avowed your support for Gingrich. A lot of people come on Perry threads and won’t admit who they support.
As to cute, I’d need to see a picture. And not one from 20 years ago like the one I always use.
I’m sorry too. I’ve been fighting the real hard-core types.
Here’s to a one term Obama!
But, grandma, didn’t you see Obama on television this morning.
The man’s hair has turned white because he’s fought so hard for us.
It really gives him an odd look, like an ancient family retainer (if I can say that without being accused of something)
Obama is bad, Romney is potentially worse and far more dangerous. Since Obama is a democrat it will be easier to confort him, it will not be so easy with a Republican Romney. Have you researched the type of judges he appointed in Mass. Far to the left of any Obama would get away with. If you think Romney will repeal Obamacare then that is a pipe dream. Hew will find a way to be friendly to ‘parts’ of it thereby insuring it stays in place. His economic recovery plan is much like Obamas and he WILL KEEP SPENDING MONEY AND TAX YOU!!!!
Yes, if you knew the kind of crap we’ve had to put up with on Perry threads for the last couple of months, you’d understand why we get a little prickly and defensive.
But, a belated welcome. Freep on.
Sorry but my wife doesn’t allow me to send pics, even nice ones. LOL. sorry about calling you a sir. And yes, I do have an agenda, just like most everyone here. Mine is to defeat Obama, and I believe the best and possilby only one that can do it is Newt.
I have no problem with anything you said.
People do that to me all the time too...LOL
It must be if you are in for the fight, you must be a man ;)
Sorry, I do not buy this for one minute. I do not believe Romney is more dangerous than Obama. Sorry.
I believe Perry would make a far better president, but if he can’t gain some traction, Newt will be my second choice.
Newt has a lot of faults, but he does have a great intellect and I believe he is sincere even if some of his many positions seem to contradict each other.
I’ve always liked Newt, even when everyone here hated him.
He is head and shoulders better than Santorum, in my opinion.
How many times have you read, "I like him, but he's not gaining..."
If he's not gaining the traction or momentum and you like him, get behind and push. If you can't push, yell go! It's time for the bystanders to get in on this.
People cannot sit idly by and give this election away.
I agree with you CGG. Romney would be a big disappointment to conservatives but I don’t think he’s as bad as McCain.
My main problem is that I don’t think he would fight hard to repeal Obamacare.
We need to work hard for the candidates down the line, elect really conservative representatives, increase our majority in the house and take the senate.
Then if we have to settle for Romney, we’ll have a congress to keep him in line.
There is no way in the hot place that Romney is worse than Obama.
That is a common argument used by some people... oh, go head take us down to the bottom, it will help us get a conservative in later.
Well, guess what, we’ll be so far underground after 4 more years of Obama, we won’t even be able to see the sky much less a conservative.
Vote Republican whatever you do.
Well, then we just will have to disagree then. This is why I think he is more dangerous:
1) It will be harder for a republican congress to oppose a left leaning republican president. Some of Obama’s agenda will move forward unopposed.
2) The justices he will nominate to the supreme court are likely to be worse than Obama’s because once again it will be hard for a republican senate to oppose their party’s nominee. The ones he appointed in Mass are far more liberal than any we currently have on the supreme court today. And that is saying alot.
3) He will try to be all things to all people and the spending will not stop and yes He WILL RAISE TAXES.
4) He is not stronger on national defense than Obama. He is a appeaser, and disperately wants to be liked by the rest of the world.
5) He has a problem telling the truth about who he is. Yesterday morning during the MTP debate he said he had never seen the attack ads about Newt, and then quoted them almost word for word. You can not trust someone who will not tell the truth.
6) I said he was potentially more dangerous than Obama, and I believe that is true.
I agree with you 100%.
This may be a good reason for all the others to stay in the race as long as possible.
Bump
It is time to stop dreaming and come back to the real world before it is too late. Kinda like the Fred heads learned the hard way in South Carolina in 08 when they help elect Mr. McCain. Same story here.
So you blame the individual candidate rather than the voters that pull the lever? Interesting concept.
