By Oathkeeper GMaine
T(axed)E(nough)A(lready) PARTY:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table,
At which he’s fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for
peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ass.

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He’s good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid...

Put these words
Upon his tomb,
‘Taxes drove me
to my doom....’

When he’s gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

CDL license Tax

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom, if agreed, stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell ‘politicians?’

How about cut the funding for the arts and other unnecessary things?

The way they spin it, these trivial expenses are a drop in the bucket, and only more tax revenue can save the day. In actuality what needs to go is whole lot of state agencies and employees, especially administrators, directors, and high level staff. These supposedly support "mandated" or "entitlement" spending the legislature can't touch. Hence the continuing inability of the state legislature to produce a successful operating budget.

What Governor and Legislature need to do is step up to the mound and pitch the idea (a constitutional amendment is needed) of the state legislature actually being responsible for all appropriations and approval of spending for the state government. Ha! Then you'll see the bureaucracy come out the woodwork to say the governor and legislature can't be trusted with the money. Maybe not, but it's the responsibility of the voters to insure such things.

And changing the state constituion is the only way the mess can be undone. Everything else is just re-arranging the desk chairs on the Titanic.
