Is it possible the questioner posed the question in racial terms?
I did find one video in which the anchor of a news show said Santorum was referencing a documentary called "Waiting For Superman".
If you havent' seen that documentary, it chronicles the efforts of several Washington, D.C. families as they try to obtain school vouchers.
It's a very powerful documentary. It will piss you off that so many minorities have to go to such lenghts to escape the public school system.
And, just for good measure, here's a clip of "Waiting For Superman".
He's lying, unfortunately. The field this time around is untenable. I am very disappointed.
If you listen to it closely, he says something unintelligible in a sentence full of clearly spoken words. If this was true that the media had him saying "black", they would be pummeling him daily on it. They have nothing, so the story fell apart that day. There are also no episodes in his 20 year career where Rick dabbled in race politics. This story doesn't hold water.
