"Bad news is I lost my vet, and the $200 might pay for the antibiotic refills if I have to buy a bottle a day.
Gotta go for now. McCthulhu has one of the neighbors treed." Kinda reminds me of the day, (on the Undead Thread), that I let my dragon out for some exercise.
He was pretty calm and even-tempered after he ate the grizzly.

I don't believe your agreement not to bring McCthulhu back to the vet is legally binding, except in Oklahoma and Sectors R and Q. I didn't take the course in Dark and Unholy Creatures Law in law school, but I've dealt with soft goods attorneys from New York City and have practical experience.
Laws, oral contracts, common courtesies, and childhood rules regarding 'keepsies' don't apply within 1,300' of a Dark and Unholy Creature.
For those of us keeping score at home, how many tentacles are left? The situation sounds dire.

Maybe what’s really needed is a simple glue trap. Try baiting it with some stale French bread and peanut butter.
Even if you just catch a mouse, it didn’t do any harm.

McCthulhu may be a spawn of Xagthrath the Grumbling Rug.
In which case, the shed tentacles could develop into further spawn.
If so, a steady diet of unwary dust bunnies, zombies, door to door salesmen and mimes would keep him fit and trim.

But if we get too many of them, we’ll have to order more shower curtains and turn loose the dwarves.

Spawn? I read in one of the grocery store 'we're not for purchase; we're just a lending library for when the line is slow' magazines that Xagthrath had been neutered on the air as part of a Today Show Responsible Pet Owners' Week special. Or maybe it was spayed.
Or both.

How much would they really know about Xagthrath’s anatomy?
They probably just removed what would be considered a bunion to him.

SO really NICE criminals are okay and given a pass at breaking the law? You betcha!
Remember when my Son's car was T-boned in the fall; a complete write off?
The other driver said it wasn't his fault, and it went to court Dec. 15th.
The police officer, 2 witnesses, and my Son were there to testify, but there was no Nepalese translator available, so the charges against the other driver were dropped.
After all, we wouldn't want to infringe on the rights of this new immigrant. /Dripping Sarcasm

“McCthulhu may be a spawn of Xagthrath the Grumbling Rug.” I don’t want to create disharmony or anything, but does McCthulhu *look* anything like Xagthrath? After all, breeding always tells. Then again, discretion is the better part of valor, so if this shouldn’t be brought up, just forget it.
