You know, it never occurred to me to think I needed to be able to call people while I was in the car. Ever. In fact, back when I went to college we rarely made long distance calls because they were so expensive. And when I got married we lived in Denver for the first two years (and my family lived in New Mexico) and so it was a big deal to call home, and I didn’t do it often. Of course there was no email! I wrote letters. One cool thing is that I have a lot of those letters now, and it’s fun to go back and read them.
