This is not just a corrupt administration, this is an administration wildly out of control!

It's more than the corrupt administration; it's everyone affiliated with them and their agenda (from the propagandist media to the judges and cities determined to make The Constitution, Bill of Rights and Rule of Law meaningless).

New Haven, CT Mayor wants illegal aliens to vote

Snip: 12/14/11 Illegal aliens should find New Haven, Connecticut a very popular destination if they happen to get by us. They will receive municipal identification cards and the mayor wants to allow them to vote. He reasons that if they pay rent and send their kids to school they should have the right to vote. This is a right that even LEGAL RESIDENT aliens don't have. Only United States citizens can vote.

The TSA is a first rate joke.

First rate, my arse! It doesn't even make the same league as the Keystone Cops. At least they were funny.

The TSA has zero humor value. It just sucks money and tramples constitutional rights.

Keystone K-9s. Can’t tell the difference between a candy bar, some explosives, and “a couple of mutts.” This was doubtless a hair brained exercise, not anything serious (yet).

Not to mention, Israel’s El Al knows how to do it better and with far less groping, but CAIR would scream about the profiling if things were done like that in the USA.

Necessity is the excuse of every scoundrel.

I think Benjamin Franklin said that.

News outlets reported a few years ago that VT Sen. Leahy was stopped at one of the roadblocks

I'll be damned. They caught an honest to god communist, then let him go.

...I have a hard time understanding the opposition that frequently appears on this board to the very idea that there have to be searches of luggage and passengers on public transportation...

What you say was true eight or so years ago. But for the time being there is no need for such intrusion.

The expansion of power of TSA over us has accelerated under 'bam and Big Sis. First it was virtual strip searches, and now this.

Consider:
TSA is unionized and owes its existence to Dims who demanded its unionization.
I'm not aware offhand anyway, of a single terrorist being caught by the TSA.
What safety we've enjoyed since 9-11 should be credited to a vigilant populace. This seems to work everytime it's tried.
Bam and Big Sis have quietly redefined the word "terrorist" beyond it's prior understanding as referring to islamist terrorists. Anybody can now be labeled as such.
If they say you're a terrorist, they can throw you in jail without due process.
The terrorists don't need to ride the train or bus to blow it up. They can simply mine the tracks. And there are miles of tracks.
TSA is best at bullying, belittling and intimidating passengers. I know that I will avoid traveling anywhere if there is a TSA gauntlet to pass through. I assume many others will do the same.
Bam and Sis's expansion of TSA has more to do with expanding the Dim roster of voters ("remember who got you that spiffy uniform, son") and creating an auxiliary police force that can be put into action to quell dissenters.
We like to think 'Bam is dumb around here, but he knows exactly what he's doing: building an autocracy brick by brick. He makes Lenin look like an amateur.

It is necessary. It’s necessary, of course, because of Islamist terrorism. But it is necessary, and it seems silly or worse to blame the gubmint for that need.

So I wonder how many of the vast number of employees of the Federal Government were dismissed to make way for the huge number of new TSA employees roaming the streets? For that matter, I wonder how many Federal employees have been laid-off at all over the past 4 years?

There are 120,000 IRS employees. The equivalent of about 6 US Army divisions. I wonder how many of them them could have been purged to make room for TSA employees?

>>Your papers, please<<

One may make light of this; BUT in Delaware and Florida (I don’t know how many others), when you renew your license, if you bring proper documents, you get a federal license. What is that? Well, according to the form, you will need to have this to travel interstate.

So, if I want to go to NY to catch a Rangers game, I can’t go without a federal license. Will no one challenge this attack on freedom? What is it going to take, please tell me?

“They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Benjamin Franklin .

“Your papers, please”

I’m a voter. I don’t need papers. Eric Holder says so.

You wouldn’t being implying “UN blue” would you?

I guess we will have to look at the bright side. They will all have the same color and be easy to spot.
