Good grief Charles. Where does one begin? Your spin and revision gives me whiplash. To remind all, your initial assertion, which was called out, was …

       "The establishment likes Newt …"

And rather than just admit that the initial assertion could not have been more erroneous and flawed, you can’t help but extending your flawed thinking …

the reaction to a candidate who would be a disaster is exactly the same as the reaction to a candidate who is “feared”.

Okay, but seriously, what is the price of tea in China?

the definition of “establishment” is self-referential.

Huh? Well, maybe you are the expert on things self-referential.

The “establishment” is apparently whoever is attacking the guy we support.

BZZZZZZZ. Wrong again. In 2012, Romney, and anyone who supports him, is the Establishment. And yet you are stuck in 1996 or 2008 which is eons ago in political terms.

Read the analysis of a real conservative on this topic ….

Levin BLASTS Krauthammer, Will, Coulter, and Rubin on attempts to destroy Gingrich

It is quite clear the Establishment for the GOP 2012 primary advocates the ‘safe’, ‘milquetoast’, ‘it’s my turn’, ‘sensible’, ‘central casting’ candidate. That’s Romney and Newt is the exact opposite.

What some of you fail to grasp is the difference between an insider and and Establishment politician. After a couple of terms they are all insiders. Gingrich is an insider. He is in no way an Establishment guy. They despise him and have rounded up the entire damned circle to take him out. From Romney to Rove to the shores of Krauthammer’s ignorant indignation. Amazingly, Gingrich has survived and still leads nationally. He remains the last Conservative standing. The Ethics charges against Gingrich were trumped up...83 charges...not guilty...all because he dared teach a course with a conservative perspective on history. It’s Gingrich’s ideas that the Liberals and RINOs could not stand. Those Ethics charges were nothing but trumped up BS, meant to disgrace him to the Average American that doesn’t follow politics.

Good post.

I was on his side in that debate, until he ADMITTED GUILT and agreed to pay a fine for one charge in order to have the investigation closed. How many ethics charges must you admit to before it is a problem?

Newt NEVER admitted to doing anything unethical or illegal.

“In my name and over my signature, inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements were given to the committee”.

"The one mistake I made was a letter written by a lawyer that I didn't read carefully enough."

A.k.a inaccurate, incomplete and unreliable statements submitted by Newt's lawyer, in Newt's name, signed by Newt, on one single page, amongst 1 million pages submitted, as part of 83 investigations, that turned up...nothing!

I love the selfrightious tone to your post.

First, I would not have put myswelf in the position he did to expose himself to the attacks.

Second, I would not have engaged in serial philandering.

Third, I would not have sat knee to knee on a love seat with Pelosi promoting the global warming scam and then said the behavior was “inexplicable”.

Fourth, I’m from an inner city row home neighborhood. Nobody touches me without getting touched back. The only thing I saw Newty doing was running. I’m not built that way.

Fifth, Newty chose to put himself at risk when he became an elitist career politician. If he cannot handle the heat he shouldn’t be in the business.

Sixth, I’ve put myself, personally anbd professionally, at risk a mnumber of times in my life and can document it. What have you done?
