This should be what the RNC and every GOP Candidate, Congressman, Senator and pundit should be talking up. Everyone needs to know that Obama is killing thousands of jobs by catering to the Environmental wackos.

His backstabbing announcement was made after the November election — his decision had been made much earlier.
In November 2012, we’ll see if union and non-union labor like being the Democratic Party’s prison bitch.
Thanks raptor22.
Given Zero’s inaction on Syria, we’ll see if Americans of Syrian ancestry enjoy [coda].
Given Hillary’s comparison of heterosexuals, Christians, and Israeli Jews to Iran’s mullahcratic dictatorship and oppression, we’ll see if...

It seems it would be terribly inefficient, but the graphics that have been posted seem to show long pipelines to not be all that unusual. I appreciate the education. :)

I think stretching a pipeline across the country is a bad idea, butButt is right.
Are you clueless?

Pipelines are actually slightly more efficient than even super-tankers.
The envriofascist/MSM complex has been fully engaged in a huge propaganda and disinformation campaign against all practical forms of energy, and the oil sands in particular. It's not surprising that you were under the impression that a X-country pipeline would be unusual, and inefficient. That's what they want you to believe. They also want you to believe that a pipeline would do great environmental damage.

Good point. The House bill provides both.

I think stretching a pipeline across the country is a bad idea, Really?
"Many people are familiar with the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). It is the most photographed pipeline as it, unlike most pipelines, has significant portions of the system above ground. Crude oil is produced in Alaska, moves south on TAPS and then moves by tank ship to the West Coast. From the tank ship, the crude again moves by pipeline to refineries along the west coast of the U.S.
The network of crude oil pipelines in the U.S. is extensive. There are approximately 55,000 miles of crude oil trunk lines (usually 8 - 24 inches in diameter) in the U.S. that connect regional markets"
