There was a time in this country when British soldiers were quartered in our homes, and you could not criticize the King. There was a time when a man could be whipped and sold, and kids could be separated from their parents and sold like puppies. There was a time when most of the nation was so broke that people starved. There was a time when Japan destroyed our Navy and killed 3,000 in an hour, and our allies were apparently in the midst of a defeat, and we turned the tide and we beat them all.

Brilliant. Last time I visited my friend on the west coast I built
his family a really nice custom chicken coup and tilled his yard for a garden.
They love the fresh eggs and veggies, and the kids now know where
veggies and eggs really come from.
