A true sportsman shows respect for the animal. I always enjoyed the opening scene in the 1992 movie of James Fenimore Cooper's "The last of the Mohicans", where after killing an elk the Indian hunters pause for a moment of prayer giving respect for the animal they had just taken. "We're sorry to kill you, Brother. We do honor to your courage and speed, your strength."

My family always uses the swingset for hanging them. Strong crossbar at the perfect height, with nothing but lawn below to mess up.
