Cain accuser has faced financial, legal troubles

You wonder why Cain does not attack back? Here are my thoughts:
That woman from NRA, Kraushaar (sic) filed a complaint of sexual harassment, was investigated by NRA and found to be baseless. She was paid $45,000 as severance ARRANGEMENT, not settlement. The facts are just those, I suppose Cain could have filed a counter law suit 15 years ago. He can do nothing now because the statute of limitations has probably expired.

Next is that Bialek woman. Another accusation with no evidence. If I was 50 years old trying to grope my passengers crotch it would have to be my right hand. I would have to be a world record contortionist to pull her head down with my only free arm, the left arm. After this alleged incident, Bialek continued to ride with Cain to her hotel. She was not afraid! This is another 15 year old allegation, never filed a police complaint at the time it is alleged to have happened. Another situation where statute of limitation has probably expired. Bialek has held no job for many years, has multiple bankruptcies, evictions, etc etc.

Now the final woman who just surfaced. She allegedly had a 13 year consentual affair with Cain, so why is she mad at him now? What is the motive? She is flat broke, with a history of multiple bankruptcies, law suits, court orders, etc etc. So Cain sues her for defamation...except there is no money to recover! And if he did sue, his campaign would come to a grinding halt.

I agree as far as the “Sexual Harassment” suits. Statute of limitations.

But....

This new chick though, could destroy all credibility for Cain.
He has the money to sue her to oblivion and prove he did not have an affair. The man has money, lots and lots of expendable income from years of success. He doesn’t need to recoup anything from her financially (and would never get it anyway, as you mentioned). His lawyers could handle this while he continues to campaign. Matter of fact, if he went so far as to state that this was his intention; I would be willing to bet if this is a lie, she would back WAY off and right quick!
I feel he needs to do this because all this negative press is not only destroying his campaign, it could be destroying his future outside of politics.
While he continues to deny it, people continue to question him.

The longer Cain stays in, the harder for the media. They REALLY want to knock down Newt, but they know that if Cain is still hanging in there, Cain will pick up that support.

...and Cain is their HUGE fear. He’s black, and even if blacks don’t support him (which I think they will in decent numbers, but even if...), guilt-ridden Whites will be much harder to pull-in (for the Dems), since the race card will not work nearly as well against Cain, if at all.

If it was me, I would do exactly that, sue for defamation. however a lawsuit would certainly become media circus, and make it impossible to campaign. So I suppose Cain is doing the next best thing, appear on prominent shows and make his statement such as on Cavuto today.
