Sounds like ESPN covered for a pedophile. Let's see if they take any responsibility. They sure massacred Paterno "for not doing enough."

FYI..Syracuse won the 2003 NCAA men's BB championship..the team, and Boeheim, were huge stories all through the fall of 2002 up until March 2003...
Easy to understand why ESPN buried it..

So let’s see...all the sanctimonious ESPN blowhards that made Paterno out to be the devil...glass houses people....glass houses.

I see it the same way. Unfortunately, ESPN gets to control the coverage, it will be spun to make ESPN look like heroes.

I totally agree on both counts. The problem is ESPN IS sports. They are the judge, jury and executioner of sports issues.

We did not go to authorities with the tape.I must have missed the explanation as to why they buried it...Title is pretty deceptive.

The Bernie Fine, Laura Fine and Bobby Davis triad situation is beyond bizarre.
Something does not ‘smell’ right in this story and it appears that ESPN,the Post Standard along with the university and Syracuse Police dept were all holding info back.
To: brownsfan
Why are you calling him a pedophile? That sounds so sanctimonious. He’s a child rapist and belongs in jail.
To: afraidfortherepublic
Maybe. So far we have the word of his wife, her boy toy lover, and the lover’s brother. Why would they lie?

After listening to the ESPN tape last night, there are at least four perverts involved:
1. The sodomite/fornicator “victim”
2. The adulterer wife
3. The homo/Bisexual coach
4. ESPN
4.

I watched the interview with the ESPN “reporter” last night. All of his answers to direct questions were non-answers -just a string of words restating what was already known - no real explanation as to why they withheld knowledge of child sex rape.

ESPN = Entertainment, Sports, and Pedophile Network. ESPN covered this up? Who had knowledge of this?

The double standard is extroadinary. Where are the calls for the collective heads of Boeheim, ESPN or the University President?
Should be interesting to watch. Boeheim was silent (if he knew) and keeps his job. The University is silent and no repercussions, Paterno reports what he was told to Univeristy authorities and is destroyed.
Maybe the message of the day is to keep your mouth shut?

ESPN always seems to have had a major thing for Syracuse and Boeheim in particular. They give them pub far out of proportion to how good they are at any given time.

Hmm.
There are mandatory reporting laws. ESPN might get dragged into this yet.
