Newt is not disqualified simply because of his plan for illegals. I do not care for his stance on global warming, mandatory healthcare insurance or a bond for same, his endorsing the leftist scoffanut or whatever her name is up there in NY, his chumming up to Pelosi among other things. IMHO, Newt is all about Newt and he will do and say whatever will get him victory. I do not believe that he is firmly grounded in conservative principals, but is firmly grounded in whatever he believes is good for Newt.
I’m not impressed with any of the contenders this cycle. I will not vote for Huntsman or Romney. I’m still undecided about Newt. If that gets Obama another 4 years, so be it. Better a quick death than the death of a thousand cuts which our nation has been going through because we keep voting for the guy who can win as long as he has an R after his name. Never mind his voting record. I’m done with that. It has been a failed policy for 50 years which is why we are where we are today.
