Newt effectively suggested we give amnesty to illegals. He then went on to suggest it was the moral thing to do.
Saying it is “technically” not amnesty does not change the fact that he is suggesting that we forgive those who have illegally invaded our nation, and in the process are pushing us closer and closer to bankruptcy.
Now Newt could have made the “practicality” argument, but he chose instead to make it a moral one. If I recall we did the same thing 25 years or so ago with all the fanfare about how this was a once and done event. How did that work out for us?
Quite frankly I am sick and tired of politicians lecturing me about what is and isn’t moral. I am sick of politicians selling my children’s future for votes and power. Just what we need, four more years of compassionate conservatism.
Weigh the options, they are getting slimmer as time goes on.
