I have a hard time forgiving Newt for betraying the base (flipflopping) on racial preferences back in the 90s. The GOP could have passed a strong and popular anti-preferences bill and made it very difficult for Clinton to veto it, but instead he stabbed conservatives in the back and never fought for it. In fact he came to think that opposing preferences didn’t fit his goal of making the GOP into a modern majority party.

That’s just one of the reasons I don’t like Gingrich. Though to be fair, on this issue of racial preferences, the entire GOP field, and indeed the entire party is absolutely worthless, so maybe its not fair to single out Gingrich.

Well, yeah, actually I think it is fair.

I think maybe Sponge Bob Square Pants could beat Obama.

Don't be complacent. Historically, incumbents are very hard to beat.

True.

Obama IS beatable, sure, but it won’t be a cakewalk.
