Let me break this down as simply as I can for you, perhaps to accommodate for your substandard grasp on reality:
I’m not interested in your nonsense.
My name's on your kid's school, but thankfully yours ain't anywhere near mine.
Sorry you have a problem with the words used by your compatriots. Not my problem, talk to them about it.
I remained polite, until you condoned me being called names by your compatriots.
You have called me a child abuser and that is not a personal insult? But my calling you the same name you condone one of your minions calling me is a personal insult..........
I retract calling you an idiot, that is insulting to those who are idiots.
I’d watch your “badass” if I were you. Your name is no where near my child and I thank the good Lord for that every day.
Sorry, freedom has a price that might be just a little bit higher than you're willing to pay.
There is no instance on this thread of me calling you a child abuser.
My comments have been directed at the fundamental foundational flaws of government education. The questions still remain.
Are government K-12 schools godless in their worldview? Can anyone provide even one link to a government socialist K-12 school that is not?
Are government schools a socialist entitlement? Are children in danger of learning that a government that can give them tuition-free school is also powerful enough to give them lots of socialist goodies? Can anyone provide a link to a government owned and run socialist school that is not socialist funded?
Are government schools a First Amendment and freedom of conscience abomination? Can anyone provide a link to any government k-12 socialist school district that does not suppress every First Amendment human right?
And...Finally, how can the above be good for our nation's children, in general, and our nation's future?
These questions are fundamental to the very institution of compulsory attendance, compulsory fund, socialist K-12 school. These questions apply nation wide and these questions are not directed at you **personally*.
My list above is based on hundreds of articles I’ve read and many of them pinged on FR over the years.
Not made up, not exaggerated - just the simple truth. For some reason you have a bee in your bonnet regarding the validity and goodness of the public school system; that’s your problem, not mind.
Oops - should read, “That’s your problem, not mine.”
And: If you can disprove any of my points, be my guest.
It’s amazing lately how many people make up totally fake accusations on FR. It’s really mind boggling.
Gabz, is the above a threat? .....?
What yanks my chain is having to pay for the establishment of the government religion of godless secular humanism in the minds of our county's children.
We have chosen an extremely modest home in one of the lowest property tax areas of our state, nevertheless, about 60% goes directly toward the godless schools. It is likely more since the government school collective uses many county services without paying for them.
My husband and I have seriously considered selling our home and using an RV as a way to even further cut off our contribution to the establishment of the godless temples of government schooling. We still may do that. It is impossible to fully pull the money plug since there are income taxes and school taxes ( due to property taxes paid by businesses) are embedded in every service or product a citizen buys.
Can I persuade you to see that government education can not be fixed on any level?
Even if school districts were the size of a city block or a suburban housing development, government force and the voting mob would still be in play. It would still be a socialist service except on a lower level. There would still be problems with government violations of the First Amendment. The religious worldview at best would be lukewarm and generic, and the children would still be learning to be comfortable with government taking their neighbor's money for a tuition-free socialist service.
The only type of community schooling that I would approve would be ( possibly) an HOA agreement among homeowners of a development. Those buying into the development would know before purchasing that part of their homeowner organization fees would go toward the neighborhood school. This is a completely private agreement and only private funds are used. There would be no government force involved.
