Bull yourself. My candidate is Perry not Cain.
What part of pure political analysis do you not understand? What makes you think “my heart being in the right place” has anything to do with this? What makes you imagine I have some agenda?
Other than to write about IDEAS that animate me, I don’t have one. Newt has surged. There are reasons for it. I identified what I think those reasons are. Of course he will now be the target, just like anyone else will who surges. Of course those attacks may or may not work. Duh.
A little advice: hold back your condescension until your reading comprehension catches up.
Since the day I heard Mr. Cain say that he was a ‘True American”, I knew who I will support! n/s
Like I said, the defense of the most imperfect.
There are none so blind as those who refuse to see...
Gingrich's potential limitations as a national candidate may very catch up with him soon; in fact, I fully expect they will, with the gleeful assistance of the predatory liberal news media.
But increasingly, the Republican nomination process for 2012 is becoming a battle between Romney and "Not-Romney" - whoever that might be at the moment, and until that person is predictably taken down by the combined effort of Democrat operatives and the GOP's own elite leadership.
In this manner, a widening gulf has been revealed within the Republican Party: on one side - the Tea Party-supporting rank-and-file, who detest Romney for being a typical, two-faced RINO; and on the other, the party leadership, who admire Romney and view Tea Party voters as no more than annoying, buzzing, brainless little insects to be swatted away, lest they soil the linen tablecloths at the Party picnic.
The likely result of this division is a sad one for conservatives. Short of a personal meltdown by the President or the economy (and note well: consequent to the radicalism and solipsism of the former, both things are entirely possible), Barack Obama will go on to win a second term.
I find it fascinating that on a very Conservative site there is so much support for a penultimate “insider” like Newt. (In the interest of full disclosure I have been, and am still, a Cain supporter; but, based on what I know about Newt at present, I would consider voting for him if he wins the nomination.)

Uh-huh. It’ll continue the way Cain’s was predicted to continue.
With people like Hannity and Coulter publicly slobbering all over Romney there’s no way any conservative hope will survive. It will be snuffed out like a cheap cigar.
Please don’t misunderstand me. I want nothing but the best, but since the msn are looking to savage any candidate we choose, he/she must be beyond reproach. Pray for our grandchildren, they will be the one’s to suffer for our folly.
You know what? He might have.
Is he flawed? Yes.
Will the MSM target him? Yes.
Will we eat Newt and throw him under the bus like we did Cain? I hope not.
Would you vote for Newt over Romney? Yep. Would you vote for Newt over Obama or say, “Newt is flawed, so I can’t vote for him?” I hope you don’t or our country is gone.
I’m sick of our side eating our own and holding our candidates to a standard that we ourselves can’t even meet. How to you think our candidates got to where they are? Do you think it was a pristine journey????????????
ANY OF OUR CANDIDATES are superior to Obama and would save the country. Any, including the hated Romney.
He will get a small portion of the black vote with Herman Cain as his running mate, imo
If it comes down to a contest between Obama and Newt, I’m going with Newt.
It is all about the Horse Race and selling Air Time on the talking head shows on Sunday.
They want our house divided and the excitment of a Horse Race.
Don't give it to them...
The reason was fake polling and jumping on the band wagon, has he move his number in the first states enough to win, hell no, big government crony newt is what he is. Nearly 2 million from fanny and he still supports the free loans.
