—Are you exaggerating for effect, newbie—
I’m exaggerating for effect. I was being funny. And I’m not a newbie. I’m 58. :p
Considerable taxes are collected on the purchases of guns and ammunition for the purpose of conservation. I’m not in favor of shooters’ use of public lands being restricted whereas most other forms of using public lands for recreation are not.
Good stewardship is what is lacking in ALL forms of the public using THEIR OWN LAND for recreation, not just by shooters.
Looks a lot cleaner then a leftist aka progressive treehugger event! Or earth day event!
True. The topic was shooters, but yes, this applies to all forms of activities. It only takes a small number of slobs to ruin an area. However, we should not over-react to prevent the majority of responsible people from using public lands. Like you said, good stewardship is the key.
You're right - wonder what's making them so smug...
We can safely assume this 'excuse' is a lie.
You're a newbie. And sorry, it wasn't funny. Don't quit your day job.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
—You’re a newbie.—
Oh, if you only knew. ;-)
And actually, it was pretty funny. :-D
I subscribe to Ricky Nelson’s “Garden Party” philosophy.
I just moved to Kentucky from Seattle. I like to tell my friends in Seattle that it is not a bunch of hicks out here. There are professionals, derelicts, and everything in between.
That said, if you hear banjo music, you really DO want to paddle faster. ;-)
