It’s cold and wet here....you’d think it wouldn’t be too hard to make the idiots get outta there and go someplace warm. Guess we’ll find out.

About the only thing the OWSers haven’t done is to link up hands in a coast to coast human chain.

Why evict this mass of human waste in the dark, why not daytime? From what I've read, most of the Occupusses go home at night to their warm & cozys.
It would be easier to evict at night since there aren't that many of them.

I would never defend the opposing side of Occupy the corrupt and malicious stand there but to look upon Occupy Portland is to gaze upon a center of idealistic virtues marred by its own inherently flawed population. What started as a intellectual rally against the status quo, a scream into the ever-encroaching night, has become a joke of a camping ground, where all you can smell is the scent of freshly smoked Ganja, and maybe, the strong whiff of whiskey off an old mans breath, a old man who you will inevitably find standing next to you, asking for spare quarters and cigarettes.
It is an occupation of the hopeless and the homeless.
Looks like one starry-eyed utopian muddle-head is finally seeing through their own mythology.

I was in the other Portland the other day--Portland ME (which inspired the name of the one on the west coast) and saw some hyped up college kids nr city hall with a banner saying "Tax the rich like we used to". At a small park nearby, it was clogged with tents...saw a signs saying "Honor Vets, End the Wars" (it was Veterans Day) but no sign of people. There were about 8 or 9 down the street as I mentioned, but the rest? Maybe having a cold brew in the Old Port section of town nearby.
In Salem MA, the so-called "Occupy Salem" movement seems to lack the capacity to actually stay overnight at a small park in Riley Plaza (not much room to camp and maybe the mayor said no?) so they only come out at night, with signs saying Occupy Salem and End the Wars. During Halloween they were hard pressed to get even a dozen people involved. --------------------------------
Ayuh, Occupy Maine. Ya can't get there from here.
