Yes, let’s be clear. How many people actually turned over that truck? Let’s be generous and say 100. How many students on the various PSU campuses? Let’s be conservative and say 50,000. Now do the math.
Have you ever lived in a city where people rioted? Any friends or family? Would any of you like to share the blame for it?
Only if they plan on dying in the next couple of years.
Most people, when faced with the discovery that they live in a city where folks see fit to tear the place apart over a child rapist protector getting fired, tend to move away. Fast. As a rule of thumb I try to avoid living in communities that engage in cult hero worship. If one has young sons, that would have been good foresight no?
Am willing to bet that your “tiny minority” of rioters will be VASTLY bigger in numbers than any sort of damage control rallies that take place in its aftermath. Perhaps PSU should start distributing “walking around” money to boost attendance?
One would laugh if this news wasn’t so sickening:

Penn Alumni are now raising defense funds for the rapist as well as organizing a rally for him. You PSU folks are a disgrace!
Christ it gets worse:
“Nebraska fans warned of possible violence against them”
Remind me to stay far way from that Valley of yours. Sickos.
After some effectively break the egg of political correctness in blogs and in other venues the Left does not control, the guts will spill out. Rush needs to help out on this like he did when it was totally politically incorrect to mention liberal racism and discrimination against white men.
Firing McQueary would be a good first step. He walked in on a man raping a 10 year-old boy and walked out. He was attending fundraisers with the man he knew as a child rapist within a month. I wonder what ran through his mind each time he witnessed Sandusky at school charity functions and such with young boys in tow. Same for Paterno and everyone else involved. Sick, sick, sick.
You couldn’t be more wrong. Unless, I suppose, you’ve moved away from every community you’ve ever lived in which there was crime, bigotry, social unrest, etc., in search of utopia. Hell, by your logic, you need to move away from the United States, a place marked over the years by various episodes of crime, bigotry, social unrest, etc.
Go Penn State!
I think the problem with that is that he’s going to be a key witness and there may be some issue regarding the firing of a “whistleblower.” He has been suspended.
Which part am I wrong about?
1) The cover up of child rape by the school & surrounding community?
2) The riot of the PSU community over the firing of the coach who was, at the very least, morally negligent?
3) The fundraising and rally by PSU alumni for the accused rapist?
4) The threats made against fans of the other team?
5) It being sick and weird that you guys lionize some old fart whose sole quality (besides covering for his buddy the child rapist) is that he can win football games?
You are wrong on all counts. “The community” did not cover up, only a handful of people. If anyone is currently raising funds to defend a rapist, it is certainly a small number of his close friends who believe that even an accused rapist deserves good legal counsel. I don’t think you have any hard evidence that any Penn State people issued threats against opponents. Perhaps 50 students overturned the truck—a minute fraction of PSU students. I’ve forgotten all of your rhetorical appeals (which border on demagoguery), but I’m sure I’ve hit the high points.
Fight on State!
“Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.”
Are these gays who are protesting? I’m confused.
Why else would anyone want to protect
someone who didn’t do enough to get a child rapist put away?
Morgana, that could be construed as a Recruiting Violation by the NCAA. They take those things very seriously./sarc
hahaha except that I am not a recruiter, just an antagonistic.
