Yes, it sure is important that we pick someone with out any knowledge of running a highly complex Government and Legal system, as well as the largest and most powerful Military force on the Planet.
And when that mushroom cloud appears over Israel or some other USA friendly Arab territory, pay no mind. Things will all work out no matter what. And if you still think the Tea Party will pick our candidate, you are in for one huge disappointment. You can pretty much guarantee it will be Romney's primary to lose.
And Romney has trained for debates — we all know how he governs (his staff moved into the Obama White House).
I would agree on Newt but Newt also is an extreme insider to the political machine and I have doubts he has any desire to fix the problems.
If Perry were to go however I could see myself backing Newt on knowledge and distant conservative accomplishments alone.
Herman Cain is a different story.
And since when, has the debates become the central qualifier for holding public office?
I don’t consider you a fellow conservative. A republican, maybe. A damned Perry shill fool- definitely. If you refuse to see Perry as the fraud that he is, I won’t wet nurse you. All the Perry fraud dots are there. Start connecting them instead of humming his mantra.
Do people on FR really affect the way you vote? Come on. That’s no reason.
The I guess this converstaion is over. God Bless you.
“Yes, it sure is important that we pick someone with out any knowledge of running a highly complex Government and Legal system, as well as the largest and most powerful Military force on the Planet.”
I’d rather pick someone that I trust, rather than another McCain.
“You can pretty much guarantee it will be Romney’s primary to lose.”
Well the first thing he has to do is get in the lead, and he hasn’t even done that yet...even in YESTERDAY’s poll.
So your solution is a open borders pretty guy?.....how safe does that leave us? And he’ll let them all get jobs here and give them an education on YOU! Yep...Perry will make us safe.
The anti-Perry trolls don’t think for themselves...they read their Dem talking points and get paid by the post..
He hasn't. You can't put his record up there at the podium. He has to be his best advocate and he's a trainwreck in that task. Should a national crisis emerge, we don't need someone like Perry locking up at a critical moment, telling his staff to "get what's-his-face on the thingamajig so he can whatchmacallit. Ooops."
Like it or not, that's what voters across the country saw....a bumbler who choked on an issue that's supposed to be important to him. It's difficult to just dismiss it and move on when he not only blew it last night; he's been doing it since summer.
His detractors on FR and the media aren't the reason for his poor performances.
As to the question, "why am I on this thread?"
At this point, I don't have any better answer than a fascination with the bizarre and perhaps morbid curiosity. Sort of the same way people slow down and look at accidents.
What this points to, is that the recent scandal is resonating with the general public more than you care to believe. Cain may have gained sympathetic support for the time being among the base, but it is mostly based on emotions and faith. Once the primaries start, it will be the best funded and organized candidate who will likely win. Prepare yourself for Romney, is all I can say. Gingrich is just not well funded and his brainy, logical appeal is all too circumvented by his corrupt past.
Debates aren’t a qualifier for holding office. They’re a qualifier you’re a better choice than the person(s) sharing the stage. When you can’t find your own ass with both hands and a map while debating, it generates legitimate questions and concerns about your qualifications.
You off suicide watch now///??????
Perry, gaffes and all, shines brightly in comparison to how you so eagerly put your character on display for the forum.
Perhaps I am and I just can remember right now.....oops.
What ever you say.
It simply boils down to another epic disaster like we had in 2008. The Democrat machine is not only well funded, it dwarfs the entire RNC and tiny little Tea Party in scope and magnitude.
You can keep on dreaming that things are different all the way up to election day, like many here did in 2008. The denial that has come to dominate this forum is exactly why we stand to lose this election again. The choice of candidates is utterly dismal on our side and the infighting and severe lack of unity has carried well into the beginning of the Primary season.
And the Democrats are laughing at what they see.

Perhaps the candidates shouldn't give them ample and legitimate reasons to do so.
