Great. The “spiritual leader” of the Brotherhood told a crowd of a million of so a few months back that his only wish is to go to Israel. He prays that even though he is in a wheelchair he will be able to kill some Jews before he dies.

How’s that “Arab Spring” workin’ out for ya?

Well, Hamas and Hezbollah were allowed to participate in the political process of Gaza and Lebanon. How'd that work out?

Muqtada al-Sadr was also given the opportunity to do the same in Iraq. He hid out in Tehran for awhile before returning this past January. Not long after that, he went back to Iran "to continue his 'studies'."

What does any reasonable person think will happen in Iraq when we're out by the year's end?

The latest meme, or self-delusion, on the left is that Islamist parties will “moderate” once they hold positions of political responsibility. That's why Egypt, Libya, Tunisia will all fulfill the Facebook promise of the Arab Spring. You can read variations on this theme at all the “serious” left-wing magazines: Atlantic, the Nation, TNR, etc.

It's all silly hogwash of course, but just because something is patently absurd doesn't mean that the left won't embrace it. In fact, patent absurdity is pretty much the litmus test for any idea taken up by the left, so the more insane something is, the more likely they are to climb aboard the bandwagon of insanity.

If the official US government position was against the Muslim Brotherhood, that would just ensure that the Brotherhood got more votes.

Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organisation. Obama is either a fool, or a Muslim radical.

"What we need to do is judge people and parties and movements on what they do, not what they're called," Taylor told a forum

Sub par IQ on display. What part of terrorism, and world domination by violence do you not understand Mr. Taylor?

This nation turned our back on God, and now we are cursed to be led by people with two digit IQ's and 7 digit salarys.

It’s more garbage like this from the “ruling class” that makes my reading of that Spectator article ever so timely.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Obamanation hopes for a Brotherhood win.

Middle East and terrorism, occasional political and Jewish issues Ping List. High Volume

If you’d like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

..................

What we need to do is judge people and parties and movements on what they do, not what they're called

What they do is why they were banned in countries like Egypt and Tunisia till this year. It wasn't their name in English translation which Barry's middle east peace sub Czar seems to be implying. But who knows, maybe they won't continue doing what they've been doing the last 8 1/2 decades.

In checking out my ping list earlier, I saw an article preceding this one titled “U.S. concerned Israel could strike Iran”. When you look at that and then the title of THIS article, it tells us all we need to know about BHO’s “foreign policy”.

And now, some pundits predict that because of our abysmal economy, BHO will increasingly campaign on his foreign policy!

A disgrace - and very concerning.
