Chris Wilson (same as the one mentioned in the Cain story) also writes for Red State. He discusses the polling data fro Rick Perry and Mittens in this article:

I’m seeing a common denominator in this guy. He runs a polling/consulting business and has Texas and Rove connections. Is he in bed with Rick Perry.

Notice how Perry has tried to re-start his campaign. Tea Party folks moved from Perry to Cain after Perry imploded. Now we hear about Perry wanting to claw his way back to the top of this race. Inquiring minds?

I’m not quite sure what the fascination is with who leaked this story...it’s been in the news for several days and Cain needs to deal with this to make it go away. He needs to release the women from their confidentiality agreement and let the public determine how credible they are and how serious/non-serious the charges are. The press isn’t going to let up. Unfortunately this is part of the vetting process and politics is a nasty, nasty business.

I am glad that someone caught that. This whole BS affair reminds me of why I have never liked country club GOP (I.e. Rinos). I detest them just a little less than the left. I do think that Cain can withstand this attack.

“Why can’t Wilson be more specific?”

Probably for the same reason Eric Holder can’t be more specific: he’s talking out of his ass.

I will vote for Cain if nominated. If not nominated I will write in his name. Period. I will never, ever, vote for Perry now that it’s known a cohort of his is behind this attack. Never.

You will say that’s a vote for Obama. Well you can thank your own obnoxious Perrybots, and Perry himself for that. You forced it.

Most corporations have general non-disclosure policies that employees sign as a condition of hiring, that they won't disclose company confidential information they become privy to during their employment. They may not be a party to this specific NDA, but the NRA might be able to go after someone for violating the general employment NDA.

Im not even firmly for Cain yet. I was left homeless by Sarah. I’m not 100% convinced he isn’t another NWO internationalist type playing conservative. But he’s leading my choices.

So far, this EEOC crap actually makes me MORE likely to vote for him, because it’s a nice way to give the finger to that part of our culture. Conversely, if a Repub launched this,,,i will not vote for him,,,now way, no how. Ditto for the Perry hunting camp thing. I won’t vote for whoever launched that. ANYONE who uses Soviet-style slanders and smears on an opponent,,would happily do it to me too if they needed. For me thats a written in stone rule. Period.

No amount of whining or pleading from any quarter about how im reelecting Obama will stop me. Im a conservative, thats tired of the crap. If i cannot vote “for” someone,, ill fish.

The same age as the woman he's talking about.

Yes. Both single and straight out of college in their first real job. Him hanging out often where she was present. Supposedly witnessing several times whatever this bs was. Could be we need to be looking at their relationship.

Get a grip it is not Perry Bots’ fault.I think writing in ANYONE’S name that is not running is trollish or idiotic.

This guy has ties to Rove and Bush so it could be Romney/Rove behind this.

Whats really funny, is that the culture of college grads circa 1990 that brought us this whole tailhook EEOC mentality, also brought us the whore culture,, the girls gone wild thing,, the Real Cancun thing etc.

And they also always screech to us how we should look to Europe for a better way of doing everything. Aside from Nazi England,, women over there are routinely subjected to horrors such as compliments, overtures for dates, and sexy photos on the screensaver.

Of course innuendo is all this about. This woman, if she exists, culd swear on a stack of bible that she was harrassed and would’t believe her.

Now we find out Wilson has ties to Karl Rove. No credibiity whatsoever.

I’m realy getting angry now. These people have no shame.

You know, whoever leaked this story (my gut says it Romney/Rove) is going to be pretty sneaky. Let's imagine that it was Romney/Rove:

Romney has refrained from being overly critical of Cain because he saw Herman Cain has being the one taking support away from Perry (his big money rival) - there has also been talk from Cain himself that he would be willing to run as Romney's VP - but not Perry's. I've always seen Romney and Cain as having a symbiotic relationship in that way.

But Cain started over-taking Romney in the polls and Romney/Rove put their heads together and decided something had to be done to nip that in the bud. I would think that two professional slime-masters like them have been busy digging for dirt on ALL of the other candidates to use if needed. They've probably been sitting on this for awhile and now they let it out to take Cain down and keep Romney viable.

But here's where the real sneakiness comes in - if I were Romney/Rove, I would think that just leaking it kills only one bird - but to make it look like it came from the Perry camp - kills TWO birds with one stone.

If you think this through, like a chess move - this is the best of all worlds for Romney/Rove. Call me a Perry operative if you want, but I don't think Perry would do something like this. I can easily see Romney/Rove doing it.
