Tim Tebow needs to learn how to be a QB in the NFL or despite being a outstanding Christian and guy he will be CUT and will be history.
The neat thing about Tebow is that being a professional sports player is not the only significant possibility on his horizon. I would expect that like Sarah Palin and presidential politics, he’s put the question up to the Lord, and even if he learns to quarterback well he may just up and walk away. He might end up getting called back to be a coach or trainer, or be a live sports commentator.
“I seriously doubt such a proclamation would pass Congress today.”
Spirited: There are a few good men left in Congress. With the few would Reagan’s proclamation pass muster. However, the majority doubtless side with the ACLU and Americans United for Separation of Church and State who claim that the mere mention of Jesus Christ causes untold suffering for today’s “inclusive pluralists.”
In other words, the mention of the transcendent incarnate God, Jesus Christ, causes today’s polytheists and distant, unknowable God worshippers (ie., contemporary Pharisees (ACLU), Mullahs, and Unitarians) to sweat bullets.
I hate to say this but... Tebow = the Obama of the NFL.
How so?
Only problem is Tebow had an outstanding front line in college, in the NFL all things are equal, he is too slow and signals what he is going to do. He is a good man, but I did not think anyone would draft him. He would make a good coach.
Obviously. But I’m sure Tebow will be fine with whatever direction his career takes.
I like the guy personally. I think that he's a fantastic role model. But, against a decent team (Detroit), he did not play well. Made poor decisions, stayed in the pocket too long (7 sacks? As "mobile" as he is?), and just generally looked completely out of his depth.
Too bad. Kids could use an athlete to look up to.
With his level of integrity, colleges would kill for someone as unimpeachable as him. NFL? Maybe.
i wish he could score more than one touchdown a game.
I wish his offensive line would give him a chance.
I don’t think Tebow looked any worse than Romo did last night.
Best thing would be for Denver to try to trade Tebow to another team, with a better supporting cast. In essence, I think that’s what they’re trying to do in starting him, is to audition him for another team, they need a lot of help, even Tom Brady can’t help that bunch.
Exactly.
Yes, he will do well. I was watching him play once in his fifth year, the little women heard the announcer say his fifth year. She said what is he still doing in college, I said because he cannot play in the NFL, caught hell for it. She just did not understand.
I think Tebow could have done very well in Jacksonville, first of all, they’d sell out every game, and having Jones-Drew in your backfield, would also help.
Or convert him to fullback, maybe.
Was this written last year? Tebow is not a rookie.
