Bottom line? Agenda-driven article to derail the frontrunner Cain steamroller, nothing more, nothing less.
It is doomed to failure.
These people should crawl back into the journalistic fetid sewers from whence they came.

Some words are perfect in sound to meaning. Punk is one. Punk is back in style. Martin is a punk.

That’s exactly how I felt when Rick Perry was in the lead and someone just happens to find the N-Rock at the hunting ranch. Cain reacted as though Perry was a racist. No one here defended Perry or accused anyone of bad journalism. There were people here who were happy to see Perry attacked. No one has been happy about the Cain situation.. Maybe we should just see how this terrible leak plays out.

Kind of like Jim Carrey when he mimics Clint Eastwood, saying, "...well do ya?
PUNK?" LOL
Let us turn it around and make THEM the issue, not Herman Cain. It can be done. They, Politico, have a history of shoddy, inaccurate, agenda driven reporting and then not retracting when busted. Use Saul Alinksky right back on THEM, right back in their faces.

I can grasp that some people might be angry over that. That some people, who had a candidate fall in the primary election, would sit out the General or go vote Obama in protest against another GOP candidate getting the nod, I can visualize that. It can hurt. No doubt about it. People can carry grudges a long time.

This was posted by Perry's Arizona volunteer coordinator three days ago:
I agree with you about Politico completely, but I'd like to know how somebody involved with Perry's campaign knew about a Politico story three days before it ran. And another FReeper has mentioned that something similar was discussed by an Iowa coordinator for Perry.

Don't know if you've seen this yet - Stacey Robert McCain has this posted on his site:

What you just said is absolutely not true. You had best go back and read those threads. When that happened, we treated rick Perry a whole lot better than his supporters are treating Herman Cain right now.
And Cain never called perry racist. He said it was insensititive. After hearing perry’s side of it, he took perry at his word.

I will look into that. That is a LOT OF SMOKE. Yikes. It smelled like an oppo ops right out of the bowels of Pflouffe’s operation in the basement of the WH, but then again, I could be wrong.....

But we simply MUST put our country ahead of our personal preferences next November. A second term of this evil WH occupier will be the death of our Republic - SO much more than any of the current GOP candidates would (or could) ever be.
BHO must be stopped at all costs.

Archive it. They will try to erase it. That is VERY INCRIMINATING. There could be collusion between on Oppo Ops group of Perry working in tandem to feed it to the enemy (Politico) and then let the process just kick in with the chain reaction. I remember the JFK movie, one of my favorite quotes (though it was a lousy-premised movie), “Who has the most to gain?”

This is a seasoned political person using political world slang. Namely "Oppo" (Opposition Research, i.e. intel to be used for mudslinging)
For example "As investigative reporters and "oppo" researchers flock to Vermont to dig into Howard Dean's past, they have run into a roadblock.I am going to investigate this person further and see where the track leads. Interesting. VERY interesting.
