I ran the 45 cal brass brush up my CZ75 chamber on a drill motor and now it works like a hose.
I have been using Hornady “One Shot” aerosol. It's an excellent cleaner and dry lubricant. Unfortunately, it turns out that it is also an excellent paint remover.
DO NOT USE HORNADY ONE SHOT ON CZ82s that have the original factory paint finish. The sides of your slide will end up being bare metal.
I noticed just in the last couple of days that the paint on my slide was disappearing. I tested some more of the One Shot on the slide and wiped it with a cloth. The paint came right off! (I ended up actually using the stuff to strip the rest of the paint off of the slide.) For now, I'm going with a quickie hi-temp engine paint with ceramic to re-coat the slide. It looks great right now. Whether it holds up or not will be the test. I read about using this stuff on a number of other gun forums. Thought I'd give it a try since it's fast and cheap. If it doesn't work out, I'll just go ahead and Duracoat it.
Could the polymer coating on the ruskie ammo have gummed the firing chamber?
So long and thanks for all the thread
