Why aren't you supporting Herman Cain? Is it because he's a Southern Baptist, or is it because he's black? Your lack of support means that you hate Herman. Why do you hate Herman?

Ridiculous, isn't it?

Have you seen her “Marry Me Mitt” video she posted yet? It crosses the creepy line, comes back to creep you out, then crosses the creepy line again.

Have you seen the more recent video where Newt is badmouthing the whole global warming alarmism?

Is sitting on the couch with Nancy really more disqualifying than the ideological and policy shortcomings of Mitt, Herman, & Rick P.?

"You didn’t write to me with that resoponse on post #64, but it hit home. I truly believe that Obama is less dangerous than a RINO."

No. Bobo would choose 2 Supremes minimum in the next 4 years, and one of those is a balance-of-power appointment. Even someone as low as Mittens would pick 3 better Supremes. Which is hardly an endorsement, believe me.

The whole thing is folly anyway. GoldmanSachs are donating to Romney over Bobo 3:1 -- when the Masters of the Universe and the GreybeardsOP triple-down on a candidate -- as they did inversely in throwing the election to Bobo in '08 -- the fix is in.

3 marriages isn’t a disqualifier for Prez.
You need an update on his AGW position.
Supporting some distant R incumbent over a Tea Party candidate isn’t exactly a damning sin....

Go back and compare to the list of disqualifies for the other 3 candidates.

Kabuki. The outcome is pre-determined.

Really?
Make a list and compare them to Mitt, Herman, and Rick P. negatives.

Bet they don’t have much to do with being Prez and beating Obama!

Aaah, the good ol' days. I was there in the trenches during the Condit/Levy affair.

Well, that made me chuckle. :-)

I gave to Mitt last primary season after giving to Fred and before finally giving to Palin/McLame. I think Mitt would be an interesting person to have dinner with, but I agree with so many others here about not helping him in the slightest while there’s ANYONE more genuinely conservative in the race. If it helps you understand, no one here would vote for Harry Reid, no matter how decent a Mormon he was.

However, I also would not vote for a Protestant that had the same views or voting record either, and I am a Protestant Christian.

Praising Kerry and making the ad with Pelosi while chastizing the GOP for not working with the Democrats on AGW makes him unsuitable for the presidency. He may be usefull but he can’t be trusted. Just ask his wives.

I like Herman Cain! Have nothing against him except that he lacks experience. That’s the only drawback. I doubt he could withstand a debate with Obama. Obama does not want to debate Romney. That’s all.

For the life of me, I do not understand how anyone who had even a basic knowledge of Mormonism and Mormon origins could call opposition to the heretical sect “bigotry.” Don’t these mind-number Romneybots realize that there are genuine differences between religions? Maybe their problem is a rejection of God himself and the condemnation of those who persist in defending his Word as “bigots.” Truly pathetic.

Bingo.

Of course no one can oppose Romney for his record, it must be either love of (presumed) profit over love of country (writer ascribes this to Rush & Levin) or hatred of Mormons.

No sale here. Imagining Romney as the nominee ... try as I might, I cannot embrace his candidacy. His record is a mess. He's timid and it's reflected in his milquetoast proposals. He'll be a pushover puppet for Democrats in Congress. I have no enthusiasm for a President Mitt Romney.

As a Californian, I have the luxury of knowing my votes will not be a factor in determining the next POTUS or the GOP nominee. All I have to say is, those in the early primary states better damn well make the best choice because Obama's second term will be on your consciences.

Major campaigns inevitably attract some kook opposition. For Mitt's campaign there are a few anti-Mormon types floating around, talking about cults and white horses but no one can credibly argue that's why he's stuck at 25%.

He's stuck there because he is not trusted.

Cain just isn't "Mormon" enough for 94% of the deseret/desert Mormon voters...(Of course, Saundra's further West than that...so not sure if that applies to her)

Per this 2008 exit poll data:

Exit poll data from Tuesday's primary elections showed Utah Republican voters cared more about presidential candidates' PERSONAL QUALITIES THAN THEIR POSITIONS ON THE ISSUES, the OPPOSITE OF THE NATIONAL TREND of the national trend in Super Tuesday voting.
Source: Romney's exit disappoints strong Utah following (Feb. 7, 2008 AP/Salt Lake Tribune)

Rather interesting that 94% of Mormons in both Utah and Nevada voted for Romney in 2008:

"While the former Massachusetts governor’s faith has been a flashpoint in his campaign, it was perhaps one of his strongest assets in Utah, where more than 60% of the state’s residents share his faith. Exit poll data shows Romney swept voters across the board, handily winning every social, economic, and generational demographic in the state, as well as 94% of all Mormon voters."
Source: Susan Davis, Wall Street Journal, Feb. 5, 2008, Romney Wins Utah With Help From Friends [Note: The Wall Street Journal was citing MSNBC.msn.com...]

Per the Mormon Church, Mormons make up about 7.5% of Nevada's population. But according to the entrance polls so far, a whopping 25% of those who participated in the state's GOP caucuses are Mormons. And 94% of those people went with Romney.
Source: Nevada Mormons turn out for Romney (Mark Murray, MSNBC, Jan. 19, 2008)
