let me see if i have this right

a government agency demanded money from a group protesting big government and the taxation that pays for big government, life time pensions, corruption, and government salaries

then, the same government did not demand payment from a group that was pushing for bigger government, higher taxation, and more worker pensions

and you’re surprised? or just shocked at the blatant corruption?

The Hypocrisy is there for all to see. They didn’t want the tea Party to protest, but are letting Occupy stay for free at the park for two weeks.

It’s common sense to demand the money back. The tea party was ripped off having to pay to use the park, if others can do it for free. I say either they get the money back or charges Occupy Richmond the same amount.

Whatever the Richmond fee/tax was to protest during the Tea Party rallies per day should be applied to the Occu-Pies - or the government should give back the money to the Tea Party Group.

One or the Other - can’t have it both ways

But, if there’s is NO need, really, for a permit - then it’s free Tea Party rallies (that will help tremendously)

Good for them and I hope other groups in other locations follow suit.

I about fell out of my chair when I heard this on the radio this afternoon - on CBS national top of the hour news, no less.

I’m shocked CBS would even acknowledge it.

You and me both. The moonbats in Hampton Roads came out of the woodwork on the Pilot website when they posted the articles around 7 this evening. Danged, but they’re vicious.

Richmond is wrong giving a PASS to liberal for their protest while charging conservatives. The city should be sued for the insult...

If you’re afraid to stand up to communists, soon you’re canada. And how did it happen? With the best of liberal intentions.

actually, what someone needs to do is get a permit now to use it... then force the police to clear the area so they can have their permitted function :)

Or slap the "occupy" crowd both individually and collectively with a civil suit for interfering with their valid permit.
