Your stupidity is what keeps you down. Nothing else.

You equate the rich getting richer to mean you cannot somehow gain wealth. What an excuse maker you are. Your only impediment is yourself.

Your reading comprehension is sorely lacking.

You are simply a waste....of my time.

Go turn on Rush and touch yourself.

That’s how I see you.

Good day.

No, they did not. ...

CodeToad,

It must be very comforting to believe you are special and immune from the effects of current events.

Your posts are proof denial is not just a river and cultural marxism has been very effective.

I agree.

But the status quo show little chance for change.

What does it say for Capitalism for it to have to be rescued from itself through purely socialistic means? Is that contradiction too hard for some to fathom? ...

IMHO capitalism and free enterprise have been replaced by corporatism / crony capitalism / fascism.

The enemy within has been very successful in creating a story for the ‘left’ about economic, social, and environmental ‘justice’ and a story for the ‘right’ about ‘free trade’, 'comparative advantage', and 'profits uber alles' with no reference to patriotism or morality. Both stories lead to the same place - destruction of the American economy, security, traditional culture, values and its pesky middle class under the tyranny of global communism.

As a long line captain you must know VERY WELL the destructive hand of government regulation on business growth! You're mad that you aren't too big to fail. You feel you didn't get help when the governments heavy hand is what has nearly killed commercial fishing.

I hate that we taxpayers bailed out the TBTF banks in order to keep from total economic collapse but, I would argue that it did work; we suffered a banking shock but not a systemic failure, Of course, many of the banks problems WERE caused by the government mandating they lend to less than creditworthy clients so, it was, in part, the government that forced this bubble to develop.

The second “stimulus” round of spending did not stimulate squat. It was a political payoff to liberal enterprises; unions (public and private), greenies, “infrastructure investments” and social justice(whatever that means), which did little to create wealth as the money was just moving from one pocket to the other. The government taxes one group to give to another (and gets its share first when trying to determine social outcomes.

Capitalism should be regulated only to define the rules ahead of the game and then the chips fall where they fall.
Many liberals firmly espouse Darwinism but then cry about those who don't succeed and demand the “fittest” support the weak, Not through charity but by government confiscation.
We need to help the helpless but, not the clueless.

“Go turn on Rush and touch yourself. That’s how I see you.”

Typical liberal: Always thinking of sex and perversions and hates Rush. Gosh, just how did I know. You hate Rush because he tells you to grow up and take responsibility for your own actions instead of blaming everyone else. Grow up. Ignorant and stupid is no way go through life.

“It must be very comforting to believe you are special and immune from the effects of current events. “

Yep, it sure is, actually. Instead of being a crybaby teenager like you I took advantage of the situation. I bought a real nice home on the cheap at a great interest rate! I also have been buying stocks really on the cheap. I suspect in a year or two I’ll have increased my net worth considerably and you, well, you will still be blaming everyone else for your downfall, watching “reality TV”, all the while your life will continue to swirl the drain hole.

Bitch , gripe, moan and complain all you want but there are still plenty of great opportunities to make money right now. You just don’t see them because you, like all liberals, prefer to be a “victim”.

This country isn’t in bad shape because of the Chinese or “evil corporations”. It is in bad shape because of you and the likes of KDD. Always bitching, never doing. Useless wastes of flesh; always consuming, never producing.

The percentages represent the aggregate.

IOW, no one is targeting a specific group of people. Just a certain income level. Doesn’t matter who moves in and out of it. That has no bearing on anything.

Do you believe what you are saying? No one is targeting a specific group of people? Really? We're the 99%, tax the 1%. They think (rather feel) that the same people are benefiting. They have no clue that people move up and down the percentiles all the time. They have no clue.

Now, KDD, you are unique in that you do understand this, but then jump off the cliff with the idea that it doesn't matter.

If you're just trying to be provocative, you succeeded. If so, it's such a good parody, I can tell if it is parody. So, you're either brilliant or a dummkopf.

Wrong...they don't care.

Why would that matter to them?

What an interesting fact. Why didn't the "government" reveal so loudly how much its income has grown over the same period?

The last budget of Carter was FY 1979. Spending was $504 Billion.
The last budget of 2007 of GWBush was $2.8 Trillion.
That is an increase of 455% over the same period.

If we look at income we see:
1997 Tax receipts of $463 Billion
2007 Tax receipts of $2.4 Trillion
For a total increase of 418% in federal government income.

It looks like even though the wealthiest took home more money than the less wealthy, the biggest cash whore has been insatiably irresponsible. It's no wonder those who run the show deep trying to misdirect attention.
