Perry has been offered a chance to debate Mitt Romney one-on-one without any moderators here in Texas. He refused.
Cain and Gingrich jumped at the chance to debate each other without moderators next week, even though a lot of people think it's foolish to debate Gingrich in such a setting.

My take is hell be in all the debates and is setting himself up to do well just by showing up.
That's a very good point. He's already told America that he's not very good at debating others, and this is a way for him to try and take control of the process - in the end, he'll still show up. He didn't hire Allbaugh to run his campaign into the ground, and not showing up to debate would do just that.
