Perry is done. BUT ... we need him to beat up on Romney to keep Cain in the lead.
While I relish the idea of those two wasting their money going after each other, it won't really matter to Cain - the people who support Romney now are going to support him come Hell or high water, because they have sold their soul to the devil. They know what Romney is, they know he's a liberal and everything else about him, and they chose to support him anyways. Nothing Perry, Cain, or anybody else says or does will cause them to waiver in their support.

I’ve reached the Cain man in NH. I am Officially on the team, now.
It is a mad scramble up there. Gingrich has signed up some of the conservative group leaders. The Cain guy sounds like he’s got plenty of common sense.

Very well said.
What Perry will do (hopefully) is to keep any other conservatives from trending to Romney. But, Romney has been at around 22% support for almost a year now. He just doesn’t have much support. The ONLY way he gets nominated is if we split our vote. I’d like to see some of the single digit people drop out as you know Cain will get those votes.
The only people that think Romney can win the general are the GOP elite.

Perry and the others don't need to do anything to keep conservatives from moving to Romney, because any true Conservative is not going to go to Romney.
