declawing tiger cubs in violation of the Animal Welfare Act. You can't declaw tiger cubs but it's ok to gun them down.

Knew this was coming. these people are focused on this while thousands of babies are aborted every year. How did you know what was coming and who are "these people"?

"Assault rifles?" Gosh I hope not! 5.56mm is WAY too small for lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!) But seriously, even 7.62mm NATO is on the low side (IMHO) for dangerous game like this.

12 gauge shotguns with slugs have lots of ooomph at close range. That's what some officials use for grizzly control.Yes, a 12 gauge with slugs has lots of ooomph. But I could call at least a dozen guys I grew up with in that area that would show up within 20 minutes with at least one rifle and lots of ammo of 30.06 or .308 caliber or above. I'll take a rifle at 100 yards against one of those beasts rather than a 12 gauge at 25-50 yards.
And I know that those Sheriff's Deputies had to start with what was in their cruisers. That'd include 12 gauge shotguns and slugs.
