” RE :The 9-9-9 plan eliminates all hidden taxes.
I been calling for that HERE for a few years now, that is how you control raising taxes:
1) Make them visible
2) Make most voters pay them(Ron Paul misses this completely) .
Now we just got to get Herman to point that out in a debate :)
Amazing watching the other Republican candidates defend the current tax system, no it’s pathetic. “
Pathetic being the operant word....
This is why I’m not inclined toward Stephen Moore’s trial balloon that the 999 NRST be replaced with a 9% payroll tax instead. Because, um, the NRST has been a little bit of a hard sell in the first few months of the campaign. What??
Going back to a payroll tax just reinstates the old playbook we have now — the one that allows taxes to be confined to producers, thus still letting takers be takers and the taking class to grow and grow, and where the tax is somewhat hidden (few people pay attention to the fact of how much they would have taken home had they not paid payroll tax).
IOW, going back to the payroll tax would reduce 999’s goal of making taxes OPEN and NOTORIOUS and making EVERYBODY, not just producers, contribute to the system.
Talk about contributing to the system: 999 is a plan where people do “pay their fair share.” And remember Biden said it’s patriotic to pay taxes! So let’s make everyone pay them!
See my tagline.
