This was a solid showing by Cain today. He refused to let Snowmonkey Gregory take him off message or fluster him. I wish he would have explained the 999 a bit better. Gregory kept asking him about people paying more. The best response would have been, "There are people paying zero federal taxes now. I don't believe asking them for 9% is excessive."

My biggest concern about him was his foreign policy stances. I had not heard anything from him about that to date. While citing Kissinger didn't exactly electrify me, his mention of reading/following the writings of John Bolton did. I could just hear the liberal heads exploding upon the mention of Bolton's name.

They are destroying it like a jealous idiot feminist is out to destroy people who work and are successful. They hate America, and they behave like a pimp or drug dealer, enjoying seeing the controled death around.

Cain is saying enforce CURRENT immigration laws and empower the states to help.
If this is done the illegal alien invaders will self-deport.
Nothing in there about open borders, permitting sanctuary cities, or pandering to the criminals by giving their brats virtual amnesty through in-state tuition like they was law abiding AND American.

I get a little nervous when it’s Herman unplugged, but I think I watched something beautiful unfold in the MTP interview. When Gregory couldn’t rattle Mr Cain, he backed off. He tried to hit him a few times later, but not with the same punch. Either he figured he got what he needed, or he realized that this guy isn’t going to roll over. Interesting interview indeed.

Perhaps, and I’m just speculating here, Herman Cain does not expect to win the presidency but intends to go out in a blaze of glory by shaping the debate. That is, get the American people talking about things like a flat tax so that these things are on the table for the eventual nominee.

Turns out that the valiant honesty Cain is employing has made him the front-runner.

David and his “experts” that he quoted should learn how to lie more convincingly. First they lie by saying that Cain’s tax plan would be on top of the existing plan when Cain clearly says that it would REPLACE existing federal taxes including the personal income tax. Then they say that under the Cain plan the poor would pay more and the rich would pay less, now if they were correct about the Cain plan being added on top the poor would indeed pay more than now but how on Earth would the rich pay less than now? The two lies don’t work together, one knocks down the other. Then they talk about the federal sales tax added to state sales taxes. The state sales taxes exist with or without the Cain plan so the state tax has nothing to do with the question, it is as Cain says, “Muddying the water”. At this point I am ready to support Herman Cain just to see him call out these liars from the so-called “Mainstream Media”!

Maybe this is as much a surprise to him as it is to the establishment GOP!

In any case, it will be fun to watch this all unfold.

“Their mission is to destroy our economy and then convince the electorate that the cause of the destruction was due to capitalism itself. Next step, obviously, is the implementation of total gov’t control in all aspects of our lives.”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
That’s the whole plan in two sentences.

That’s the plan. Make all Americans welfare queens dependent upon the nanny state for everything. They’ll be easier for the state to control.

existing federal taxes including the personal income tax...

Does this mean there will be movement to repeal the 16th Amendment? That might take 2 years, if it was even remotely feasible.

If that is the case Mr. Cain just might be in for one heck of a big surprise.

That would be looking in a mirror and seeing President Cain looking back.

I agree with much of what Cain says about liberals intentionally destroying this economy. I think we can tie OWS to the Dems and show that liberal thinking is fantasy and the road to economic ruin...

HOWEVER, I must truthfully say... if I'm Ahmadinejad, or Putin, and I see this interview, I'd be thinking... "This guy is a total amateur and incompetent on Foreign Policy. I can push him around. I can overwhelm him with created crises and tie him in knots!"

The Foreign Policy part of the interview, Cain seemed very amateurish and lost to me. He was BS'ing his way through.

I would like to pose an interesting question. Suppose Holder and even Barry get impeached and convicted. Possibly even others in the White House. How would that change the 2012 elections? I’m guessing it could be bad because the libs will have someone other than Barry to vote for.

This interviewer David is a dolt. He’s not getting it, and he’s blatantly making false assumptions about the 9-9-9 plan.

" ... Cain is likely also a typical hypocrite."

I doubt it. I also don't doubt he sticks his foot in his mouth now and then. I like him calling it a joke, which it may well have been, a Hell of a lot more than him making all kinds of apologies for saying something millions of other people have also said half jokingly. Everyone knows you can't be electrocuting people on a fence at the border, but vast majority of people are also fed up enough to want to even though they wouldn't follow through on that if they could.

You don't think millions of folks haven't said the same sort of thing even if they'd never do it or go along with it in reality? You're way, way, underestimating Cain. However you may see that foot in the mouth, millions of people saw it as his being every bit as frustrated and fed up over millions of illegal immigrants as they are. The fact is that probably got him a LOT of support. How he bitch slaps the media when they play gotcha about that remark doesn't matter a bit. They hide the BS Barry spews and pretend he isn't a walking, drooling, idiot, even though he can't make a coherent sentence without his teleprompter. Cain is still getting his message out loud and clear and to date even the "misstatements" he's made have the feel of being very well thought out in advance.

Everyone else running is worthless IMHO. It's still a free country, or so they say, so think what you like. You won't convince me anyone else in the running is as good as Cain and they sure as Hell aren't any better.

Same complaint applies to 0. Why have they not done it to 0?

Cain make it clear that he is an unabashed believer in US Power and Exceptionalism. The notion they would try taking on Cain when they have been afraid to even try on Barry is absurd.

How about instead of continuing the Perry smear attack du jour, you answer the questions about Perry for a change?

Who got in the race last after it was clear Romney was not going to get any appreciable support from social conservatives?

Who did the GOP Establishment push into the race after it seem Tea Party heroine Bachmann was going to upset Romney’s ride to the nomination?

Who does the GOP Establishment see as their back up card if Romney fails?

Who has long standing intimate ties with the Liberal wing of the GOP Establishment?

The answer is Rick Perry.

Bill Kristol to a NY Time Reporter telling him how the GOP Establishment plans to deal with “the Tea party mutiny”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2792217/posts?page=3

Kristol told me just after Perry entered the race, a development that essentially ended [the more radical Michele] Bachmann’s brief ascent. Establishment Republicans may prefer Romney to Perry, but their assumption is that either man can be counted on to steer the party back toward the broad center next fall, effectively disarming the Tea Party mutiny.

Wonder who Perry will be VP with?

Odd how that question never gets asked of Perry.

Could it be because everyone knows Perry is the GOP Establishment mole in the race to split the Tea Party/Conservative vote and hand the nomination to Romney?

Could it be because they know the ticket the GOP Machine is setting up is “Romney/Perry 2012? Think about it. Romney has the money, Perry has the idolatrous worship from the social Conservatives.

Could that be why the Perry camp is knowingly lying about Cain’s solidly Conservative record on both social and fiscal issues? Because they know full well Perry’s record can not stand close scrutiny?

What does anyone really know about Perry other then the nice words and platitudes he puts in his speeches? Looks like Perry is just Bush 3.0 another tough talking social conservative who will go to DC and be yet another good little GOP crony capitalist water boy.

How about this Perrybots? How about you drop the smear attack campaign postings and try making a case for your candidate for once?

Odd how the Perrybots and the Romneybots are using the exact same campaign tactics. The never ever make a case FOR their candidate, they merely slander and lie about all the other ones.

So which campaign are you Perrybots actually working for?
