I lived in Oregon for many years. Instead of a sales tax Oregon has an exorbitant income tax! I don’t know about the other sales tax free states. I now live in a sales tax state, but the 999 savings in income and corporate taxes and capitol gains with Mr. Cain’s plan will save me $$$$. No capitol gains tax! Great for investors! I sold one of my duplexes in Portland several years ago. I had to pay $46,000 Fed capitol gains, and $l5,000 in Oregon capitol gains!
