It's designed to make life so miserable that people self-deport...

WOW - what a concept!

It helps in the long run. I was raised in TN and the hell I endured on the national stage was understood quickly. The other states can keep their crap. We win.

“I guess if you lose your license due to a DUI, you lose your water service too.”

What an idiot.

If you lose you license, then you need to get a state issued ID. Both come from the DMV. Perhaphs you need to think about your responses before posting. Or perhaps you need to move back to Mexico.

That’s an understatement...AL makes AZ look like an amateur.

The Alabama law was inspired by the Arizona law - and even written by the sake author, Kris Kobach. The difference? One Federal District Judge over another. And AZ is also saddled by the 9th Circus Kangaroo Court in SF, while Alabama has a better shot with the GOP-majority 11th Circuit.

What's with all the passive voice?

The mayor of Allgood, who is responsible for the town's water supply, was unavailable for comment. It is believed that the poster is still prominently displayed within the town hall.

It is thought to have been put up several weeks ago while HB56 was still being debated in the Alabama assembly. The Montgomery Water Works and Sanitary Sewer Board is also understood to have made moves to oblige water customers to prove their legal immigration status.

Is their source a blog post or something?

Sounds good to me - I noticed the author used the usual "draconian/harsh/cruel" type words.

What I'm waiting for is to have a State that tells the feds to pound sand even if the Feds prevail in a suit against the State. While we are a Nation of Laws, if the "lawful" ruling is anti-Constitution as far as the powers go, someone needs to tell the Feds that if you want to insist, you need to send the military to conquer us. I believe that it would foment the clearing out of the current batch of politicians and give us a fresh start because the other 49 States would let the folks in D.C. know that they would not survive open war on the People.

Had you simply clicked on to the link provided and then clicked on the image of the actual poster, you would have saved yourself much embarrassment.

There’s only one thing that I don’t like about the Alabama law: they share a border with Tennessee.

I agree—totally. For instance, the EPS is going to shut down one or two (I can’t remember how many) coal powered power plants in Texas sometime soon. What will Perry and the Texas Legislature do??????? I’d call out the Texas Rangers and tell the EPA to kiss Texas’ azz.

I know what you mean. This will make it so Americans have to prove they are citizens and those who can’t will be treated as the invaders. But then again, you have to give this documentation to enrol in public schools.

It’s like Americans are the ones who suffer sexual molestation at the airports in the name of security which was put in place to keep Islamists from bombing airplanes. Americans will be treated like illegal foreigners in their own land until they prove otherwise.

Politically correct government workers and politicans will abuse Americans with this power because they are culturally Marxist - unpatriotic, amoral, anti-individual liberity and justice and anti-human life.

The poster didn’t say that a US Passport or out-of-state driver’s license was an acceptable proof of identification. Out-of-state landlords don’t have Alabama state-issued IDs. One more step toward not being able to buy or sell anything — not even water — without the mark of Big Brother.

Ben, I really do understand your worries, but we are talking about Illegals here. Illegals who are getting more funding than the elderly who were actually born here. Illegals who are getting everything they want without being, well...LEGAL.

Alabama citizens are tired of it. We’ve gotten nothing from the Federal Government except more of the same. We are trying to save our resources for those born here, and those legally here.

And, that is what we intend to do.

It’s a tool. Is it intended to help? Yes. Will it do what it’s supposed to do? We shall see. Could it lead to even more government intrusion into the lives of the citizens? Possibly. Could bureaucrats abuse this power to make the lives of citizens harder? Yes.

Maybe I’m totally off base on this. I hope for your sake I am.
